Paphos People

Hi.

I am new to this forum. Afew years ago my mum and dad heard that Madam Butterfly The Musical was playing in an open air theatre or stadium(in Paphos,think it was in the same place as Simply Red played!!)Just wanted to know if anybody had heard or had a website for me to find out if they would be playing it again in the future as it is my dads dream to go and see it!!!

I will be over in Paphos in October and cant wait!!

That was Madame Butterfly the Verdi opera, played @ the fort in Pafos harbour, this is unlikely to be redone for a few years as they have a different production each year. This was 3 years ago.
I think the Simply Red gig was in Nicosia, not sure as it was too expensive for me to go, but def not in Pafos.

We do get a lot of good stuff here, mostly in Limassol or Larnaca though in July & August, all open air.

Pafos has a few shows going now & again, we have some good tribute acts here as well.

The Simply Red gig was at the Paphos football stadium in June 2008 - I only flew back from the UK the day after.
The opera is always the first weekend in September, at Paphos Fort and this year is Otello.

Thanks Guys.This info is muh appreicated. Yes im Sure it was at the stadium as mum and dad said they were sitting on their balcony singing along to it!!!! LOL...Hopefully one year they will do it again...xx

Simply red are no more Cyprus was one of the gigs they did on their final tour -- and what a night we had so glad we saw them .marj
