1. When you have put bottles of diet coke in the freezer to chill, do not forget about them & discover them the next day frozen solid

2. Do not then put the opened bottles in the sink to defrost only to watch a brown tar like substance erupt from the bottles and splatter freshly cleaned sink, wall and drainer! What exactly IS diet coke made of???

Another thing never to do:
After shopping, having bounced your way home down a rutted track, if you then put hubby's tinnies in the formerly tinny-less fridge, reserving one for his immediate consumption, LET HIM OPEN IT OUTSIDE

I used to work where Coke was made many years ago and I have never touched the stuff since!!!!! Possibly the ingredients have changed but I don't think so when you see what it does to a piece of meat or the fact that it cleans metals!!!!

I used to work for a shipping company exporting goods worldwide.Coca Cola concentrate was not allowed in the hold of a ship (in a container) and had to be labelled as hazardous class 6 (explosive). Never allowed my children to drink it (they considered themselves deprived of course ) and it does clean the loo a treat and clears blockages in sinks!!

The official recipe is said to be guarded 24-hours a day in a vault in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 'secret recipe' is:

Fluid extract of Coca 3 drams USP
Citric acid 3 oz
Caffeine 1oz
Sugar 30 (it is unclear from the markings what quantity is required)
Water 2.5 gal
Lime juice 2 pints 1 qrt
Vanilla 1oz
Caramel 1.5oz or more to colour
7X flavour (use 2oz of flavour to 5 gals syrup):
Alcohol 8oz
Orange oil 20 drops
Lemon oil 30 drops
Nutmeg oil 10 drops
Coriander 5 drops
Neroli 10 drops
Cinnamon 10 drops
