I was in Grazie for dinner the other night , I have never been a big fan of italian food , this has
helped me confirm that ..

Now , Where shall I take the wife tonight ?
any suggestions ? ..

Neil, as you're prepared to flash the cash, how about the Gourmet? (And can I come too :bearhug )

Sorry , its the only window that I have in the week
to see my wife , I like to spend the evening un-interupted,
to catch up with each others week .

As for flashing the cash , if its more than 40 quid , we go elsewhere ..

Better come up to the hills then (if you dare!). Ask nicely and I might be persuaded to give you a "Get out of the Hills free" card - that's if OH is not monopolising them :smilielol

Have you tried Kokkinos in Polemi? It's very good there.

Kokkinos is fine, the food is ok, the problem is on a Saturday night having a damn great screen showing football as you try to eat your meal, I for one do not like paying 35/40 euros for a meal with that blasting down my ear, its either a Restaurant or a Sports Bar one or the other, if I wanted to watch football I would stay home and watch it for nothing. We went somewhere else.

We went to Kokkinos about a month ago (thankfully not a footy night) and were not impressed at all. Nice enough owners, food expensive and not impressive so will not be going back or recommending to friends.

Will stick to tried and tested in the locale.

Yiani's and Petradaki in Kathikas both excellent food and value for money.
New taverna opened in Kathikas (the old Arkousas) and it looks expensive with nothing any different than all the others.3 euros for chips with your meal no wonder it does not seem very busy. Won't be spending our money there but it may be very good so it is up to the individual to decide.
Molos on the harbour in Latchi a tried and tested but go after the boats have re fueled or the fumes will kill your appetite and give you a headache.I am surprised the restaurant owners don't complain about it as it must cost them customers. There must be an area away from the restaurants that could be used for re fueling.

Surviving on state pensions we watch our spending and try never spend more than 30 euros on a main meal and a couple of drinks for both of us.All 3 above come into our tight budget so now you know.

Just had the most gorgeous chicken kebab with lashings of salad, chips etc etc for two with cokes and beer 10 euro, live music, great service and will certainly be going back again - beautiful setting over looking the harbour - you guessed right, certainly not Paphos but Izmir - food to die for - melt in your mouth chicken - and they look after their dogs:-) and no humidity- heaven, just a bit hard to get a drink in the place :pint

you know , I have never looked at the name , but as you drive out of the village
towards the airport , there is a right turn that takes you down to the industrial area , well
its on that corner there , I think it was an old church at some point ..

Well after going in every cafe/bar from the port to Konik Pier, only found one that has Bacardi in stock as I do not drink beer, vodka or gin, plus six different shops that sell alcoholic drink and don't have it so I would say difficult too get a drink :cheers
