It was our 4 year anniversary of being in Cyprus yesterday so we decided to treat ourselves to a takeaway.

We opted for Poppudoms (I think that's how they spell it!) and my my it was tasty!

We started with the Mixed Tandoori Platter and popps and picks, then we had a Tandoori Chicken Biryani and a Chicken Madras all to share and a peshwari nan. It was absolutely delicious.

All for the price Euro27.00 which I thought was quite reasonable for the meal we received. Popps and picks were on the house and everything was ready to pick up in 20 minutes. They also knocked 10% for takeaway prices.

Anyone decided on opening an indian takeaway in Peyia yet... we're still waiting??????

We went to Poppadoms a little while ago, and must admit that although the place is lovely and the people very attentive, the flavour of the food was not too good, and the price was a little on the expensive side!
There was 5 in the group and three said the taste was 'bland'.
Not had a takeaway though, and to get free popps and picks was good :D

Wendy, I know exactly what you mean. The first takeaway we had was away last year, probably about April/May time and I wasn't impressed at the time. We had a bit of a craving for curry and it's the closest to us at the minute so we threw caution to the wind and I'm so glad we did, it was lush! as for the restaurant itself, I find it a bit dark inside, not a bad thing if you're a messy eater dribbling all over the nice tablecloths!!

Malsue, Tikka is fabulous. I can not sing their praises enough, those enormous bhaji's, those kebabs, their chilli sauce mmmmmmmmmmmm. If you're in Paphos is well worth a visit, never been let down in the taste department!

Is it wrong that I want a kebab now at 9:51???

We only went and had the same again last night! :celebrate
Minus the starter and still there was food left over.

If anyone is going, get the chicken madras it's just fabulous - A taste sensation!

Hiya Mal

Sadly Tikka closed permanently and Maurice has gone back to UK. Saw Gary on Sunday and begged him to hurry up and find somewhere else to open. I miss their grub!!
