Location: Thurso, Scotland

Hi everyone, I live in Thurso, Scotland and have Crohns Disease and Osteoporosis. I have to have an infusion every eight weeks of Infliximab to help my illnesses, having looked on the net i still do not know if i can get this drug over there in Paphos.. Can anyone on the site please help me out with this question also do not know much about the hospitals over there.. If anyone knows if i would have to pay for this treatment ... any details would be very helpful

I searched the price list of medications available in Cyprus as published in Feb 2013 and all I can find is this for "Remicade". It isn't listed under the other name.

Price / Item Code: C116001/1
Medicinal Name: REMICADE PDR FOR CONC FOR SOL FOR INF 100MG
Package Type: 1 VIAL
Retail Price in EUR: 744.20

The complete list is here: http://cypruslifeinpictures.files.wordp ... b-2013.pdf and it can be searched if you hold down the CTRL key and then press the F key. A search box will appear where you can type the name of the drug/medication into it.

It's always good to know if there are other names your medication goes by as they are generally listed as you said under the Trade Name.

You don't say if you are looking to holiday here or are thinking of moving here, long term + whether or not you currently receive any UK benefits / UK State Pension

Dave,
Their previous posts refer to looking for long term rental properties from the end of Jan next year. Not sure what their plans are beyond that...
