Well I would not say broken but blown out of the water!
I have just had a laptop that was running slow, so I ran a clean up program to remove old files.
The laptop had 512,000 file on it, and after removing them it has 12.8 gigs of hard drive space back.
My previous record was 86,000 files.
Now ask what state is your computer in, is it running slow taking to long to start.

I used AVG last week when my Norton subscription expired. Their tune up has made a big difference to the start up and removed a lot of errors in the registry. I cannot recommend it yet, only been a week but at the moment I am impressed. Paul, what did you use?

If you have any pc tuneup or pc optimizer programs uninstall them.

Their are some that are sypware and a lot of them can give False Positives!

You need to know what you are doing to sort some computers out.

1 mistake and you computer will not work again, untill you do a full reload.

Spybot Search & Destroy. Free from - http://www.safer-networking.org/
