We used Frank recently, who came and measured up quoted & supplied in a very professional manner, we got 2 doors (incl 1 with pet proof mesh) and 4 or 5 windows (I think) for just under €400. Tel 97790978

As above we also used Frank. Quick, polite and the best price. A really nice happy chappie.

Also recommend Frank - professional, nice personality, good quality and very quick. His fly screens can be seen at the Duckpond (on Sundays, not sure about Wednesdays) and he has a stall at Timi Market on Sundays. It came to just over €300 for 4 screens (including two patio doors) and took just over a week from the initial phone call to the fitting. Chose him after getting three quotes for the same job!

Have also used Frank on many occasions. Brilliant.

Afraid I can't comment on Frank's blinds, but will say we had ours done through John O'Neill.
I can't remember the price as it was 5 years ago but they are still in perfect working order, (no tears or fraying round the edges).

Lee

I had O'Neill's blinds in my last place and he's very good too although more expensive than Frank. Perhaps you should get quotes and then decide?

We also had O'Neills and are very happy with the product and service although I daresay others are cheaper. We were recommended by our neighbours and always good to know that you are dealing with a stable company as some are here today gone tomorrow!

I agree that there are too many fly by nights setting up businesses here but both Frank and O'Neills are established reputable companies so I'm sure whoever you choose will be around for a good time yet.

I used Frank also and am very happy with his work and prices! Need another screen replaced as dog managed to walk through it, perhaps next time I should buy pet one!

O'Neill's was one of three companies that gave me a quote in February - he was €380 dearer than the cheapest quote. Very satisfied with the quality of workmanship of Frank's blinds - my friend used to make them and he's impressed with the finish.

Allan - O'Neills are guaranteed pet proof that's why I got them in my last apartment, but this time round at Chris' house Frank just did one door with pet proof mesh as we thought that'd be sufficient now the pooches are older and (in theory) more sensible!

I have spent at least a month of every calendar month in Konia over the last 5 years. (if you get what I'm saying)

I have never had any flies in my apartment. Is it something to do with where I live?

Just glad I haven't wasted my money on fly screens.

Frank recently fitted screens to our villa, very pleased and I must say they look an awful lot better than our neighbours, fitted at a reasonable price....cheapest is not always the best....

We also used Frank to replace a patio door screen but currently have a need for a 'door blind' with magnetic strips; the sort you can walk through and it closes behind you. Bought three from Jumbo's today at €4.99 each for a regular door size. They also had some for patio doors.

Lidl on the Mesogi road have some in as of yesterday, with various sizes & 'closing' options available.
If you already have the frames, replacing the mesh is a relatively simple DIY job - mesh can be purchased from the One Stop Shop @ about E3.5-E4 per square metre (don't buy the cheaper stuff). The 'beading' to secure the mesh was around E0.5 per metre.
For novices, suggest you start by choosing the smallest window to replace before tackling a patio door, as getting the correct 'tension' in the fabric is key.
There are tutorials on YouTube to help you with the procedure, but it's largely down to common sense & confidence.

I don't know his surname, but his telephone no. is 97790978. I have had fly screens installed by him, and he uses quality materials at a reasonable cost.

While I would say same, actually I did a few on my house a couple years ago.

But if you like install metal mesh, then it's nightmare DIY job !
