Hello all,
Looking for a recommendation of which currency exchange companies to deal with the transfer of euros from the sale of our property into sterling.
Agent and lawyer have made a suggestion but how much commisssion will they get?

Probably about 0.25% so not very much at all. Go with the recommendations that are tried and trusted.

A lot of people recommend Currency Fair or Transfer Wise. Might be worthwhile looking them up? Why pay commission at all when you can deal direct?

I *think* C/F charge a flat rate €/£3 fee whereas T/W charge a % figure

On small numbers T/W is cheaper, on large numbers C/F is cheapest.

I have always used CurrencyFair. They had a couple of problems when they changed UK bankers a little while back, but all is sorted now.

For me they have consistently the best overall price and rates.
