Hi All,

Quick introduction I’ve spent a couple of hours browsing this morning and took the plunge to sign up. There are lots of personalities I know from other Cyp forums and many I don’t – I look forward to meeting and talking to you over the coming months though….

By way of introduction, the username pretty much covers some of it, but outside that I moved out to Cyprus full time in 2002, unfortunately after living there a couple of years my circumstances changed and I’ve partially moved back to the UK. :? My time now is pretty much divided between Kazakhstan where I work and Tyne and Wear where I live. I am fortunate enough though to get out to Cyprus about every 8 weeks or so, which allows me to sort of live there as well ! :D

Family wise I’ve recently married my partner Deb and we have a baby daughter of 9 months, I also have another daughter of 10 and apart from that the remainder of the family is made up of large smelly animals  …. ….. the equine and canine variety….

With family, work and study commitments I don’t get much free time but when I do I spend as much time either riding or working with the horses as I can and failing that my only other vice is KEO….. and wine…. and malt whiskey… Oh and eating…..

Not sure how much I’ll be able to contribute to the forum but certainly I’ll try…. Look forward to speaking to you all….

Cheers for now

Ian

Hi Ian,

Glad you found us. I am sure your contributions will be valuable. If health is an issue you might be able to shed light on things, but even a bit of banter doesn't go amiss on PP. If you have a Geordie accent I am glad you are typing, though. I wouldn't be able to understand a word you say.

Hi Ian and Welcome on board! :D

I'm from Washington originally, and quite a few of my family still live there - what part you from? And crucially, are you from the Red & White or Black & White half??

Hi All,

Thanks for the warm welcomes....

Well to answer everyone,

verity your safe... no accents here... I'm an import or "plastic geordie" originally from Leicester I've been in and out of the North East since '84 when I did my recruit training up there....

Cpn Fantastic and Disco pants, got to tell you fellas.... its the black and white half ! Not that I follow footy that much, I'm a falcons fan ! The place in the UK for those that know the area is behind the holiday Inn in Ayton.....

Looking forward to chatting,

Cheers for now

Ian
PS Cheryl... will say hi to Debs.

At last! Someone with a bit of class as far as sport is concerned. Too many girly game supporters on this site, so it is good to have someone to kick them into touch. (Get it? I'm soooo witty).

Thought you might support the Tigers though, out of respect for your roots.

Good stuff - you're definitely welcome then! :D I know Ayton quite well, couple of friends live round that way. I used to live in Fatfield, right by the river.
