Ok. Will someone help this technophobe? If I want to quote a sentence from someone's post I highlight it, using my mouse, and then click on quote. But it brings up the whole of the post, which I then have to sift through and delete the bits I don't want. Am I doing something wrong?

Question number two. If I want to type in small green font or large red font in the middle of my post, why won't it do it? I click on the font colour I want, but it just keeps saying default, and I click on the font size, but it stays the same. Help. In simple language please.

Without writing the BBCode from scratch when you choose to quote from a post you have to do as you have said, ie start with the whole lot and then manually reduce down afterwards

For changing colours/size once you are in the writing text section you select what you want to change then choose from the drop-down list and your text will be "surrounded" by some code which if you don't edit any further will do what you wanted.

Some trial and error will get you there soon enough

Verity - you won't see the intended effect of your font colour/size/etc until you hit preview or submit; you'll see only the BBCode tags in the editing window
