Can anyone tell me what is the earliest date I can renew my road tax for 2018?
Am I right in thinking the rates for 2018 will be the same as for this year (2017)?

cant help you on that one ,, normally january , but regards cost ?

We usually pay for our vehicles in April some time, almost the last day to pay it normally.

Road Tax is supposed to be due from 1st January, but the government don't usually decide the rates until the end of January, at the earliest. It is then published on-line from early February.
If I remember correctly from last year, the last date for payment was during the second week in March (without paying a surcharge).
However, there is an Election due early next year, so the rates could be set before or after that (???)
It might be best to keep an eye on the Cyprus Mail and the Cyprus Government websites for accurate (?) info..
Or just sit and fret ( no .... just don't worry).

From what you say we won't be getting into trouble with the police for not renewing it until after the end of March approx.
Our's is €55 so even a modest increase won't break the bank anyway!
