Caroline Flack has been found dead at home

Sorry to hear this. But who is she?

She had co-hosted The X Factor and won Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, as well as presenting ITV's Love Island.

... and she was soon to be in Court for beating her male partner over the head with a metal lamp while he was in bed.

Her boyfriend retracted what happened, saying that none of it happened as the state prosecution was trying to say ... he didn,t want to carry on with charges

this young woman has sadly and tragically taken her own life ...which is absolutely so sad

Thank you for the info on who she was. I never have watched the three programmes mentioned and so that is why I had no idea who she was.

I've never watched Love island either but knew of her from winning Strictly a few years ago. Extremely sad, tragic circumstances and the gutter press have an awful lot to answer for AGAIN!

Not just the gutter press, it is social media as well. The vile and vicious posts put on the likes of Facebook, Twitter etc have to be seen to be believed.
I report lots of stuff, some is removed, but a lot is left on.
I am fairly thick skinned but at times even I have to just remove my own posts due to the vitriol spewed back at me for just having an opinion.
Brexit discussions were toxic as were the elections etc.
I am so sorry that this young woman felt that this was her only choice.

There is no longer such a thing as 'Social' media it's turned into 'ANTI Social' media
Far too many keyboard warrior snowflakes out there now...just my opinion....and...I have big shoulders so bring it on if you want

Facebook is a double edged sword.
On the one hand it can reunite people , lost pets, help people in need etc etc etc and has on many occasions.
On the other hand it can be evil and vitriolic.
I am far more aware of the harm it can do than when I first started and am appalled by what it has become.
I believe it needs far more policing and far less accepting of what to many, is unacceptable.
