HAD to go to Philippos this morning for a couple of essentials.
2 'rotund' ex-pat 'ladies with 2 trolleys EACH were virtually clearing shelves or tinned products and dried pasta

I made what I thought was a 'whimsical' comment on my way past when I said "you stocking up for a siege?"

I was told go away and mind my own business...however the 'F' word was inserted word before 'away'; 'mind' and 'business'

It happened in Philippos in Coral Bay...how do you know 'the ladies' were from Peyia?
People come from Kathikas; Polemi; Drouseia; Kissonegar and Chloraka to name a few to shop there

Alpha Mega's going down hill too - greedy selfish man swiped the 'complimentary' hand sanitiser when my friend was in there earlier!!

Hardly fair to say that Alfa Mega is 'going downhill' simply because one of their customers, who Alfa Mega have no control over, swiped a hand sanitiser.

I went around the new Alfa Mega this morning (old E&S store) for the first time and was blown away. Having spent some time in recent months in both USA and UK supermarkets, Alfa Mega leaves the lot standing. By a long chalk. Staff are top notch too, friendly, personable and helpful - unlike the shoulder-shrugging, 'ees finished', couldn't care less attitude of staff at some stores. And the fact they employ people with learning disabilities really gets my vote.

Don't worry, its karaoke night tonight, plenty of time for that word.

Have to agree with yak man on the Alphamega, it is a cut above the rest with customer service. Whenever I need to use a supermarket its first choice.
