Just a suggestion
It is something that both my husband and myself are now doing on our very few journeys outside

We are now wearing workman's dust masks and disposable gloves

The gloves to stop any virus getting under our nails etc

And the masks make a seal around your mouth and nose,
they can normally be bought in packs in DIY shops

We put them on just before we go into the supermarket ....and leave them on until we get home...then pull off the mask and peel back the gloves and dispose of straight into the bin

Then of course wash and cleanse our hands ...we are using soap and alcohol for that

Most of us on here are older and more at risk

So worth doing

Stay safe all

We've been doing that too as I crop up in the At Risk group twice HOWEVER most Cypriots find it hilarious as they're of the opinion you only wear the mask and gloves AFTER you've been diagnosed with Coronavirus - there's no hope with that lack of comprehension!

Hmm that statement above re the Cypriots is so UNTRUE. We also wear Mask and gloves. We were in Paps and there for all to see were quite a few Cypriots wearing masks. We also noticed that everyone was keeping a distance from everyone else.

The Cypriot people and people from other countries where wearing masks and gloves ...or at the very least gloves ....men and women...a lot of work men where wearing industrial work masks and gloves

Distances where also kept as much as possible

It was the UK people who stopped my husband and laughed in his face ...telling him we where all over reacting

Good thing on steering wheel and car doors MAD

We throw away the masks and gloves as we get in...

Clean everything with wipes

Then rewash our own hands and use small amount of alcohol we now keep by the front door on hands

I went into Christiana s pharmacy after Philipos...I still had on my mask and gloves as needed to throw them at home safely

We queued outside ..the assistant got the things off the shelves that you needed and handed them to you...very orderly ...

Christiana applauded me ...and said if everyone was to be so diligent ...then the virus would Peter out soon...

These measures are for a short time ...and we all truly need to be making them now

The virus is now in Paphos and the numbers are growing daily

Stay safe all

Those Cypriots queuing to get in to the Evangelismos Hospital at 8.15 yesterday morning thought it was hilarious but as my Husband told them (in Paphian Greek) we won't relish seeing them suffer when they're ill but...!

;)

And your gate latch front door handle (inside and out) and your door keys - basically everything you have touched whilst wearing the gloves!

I remove the gloves just before I get back to the car and seal them in a bag. My keys and the inside of the car (which I sanitise at least twice daily if I have to go out) remain clean, as does the house, although I use hand sanitiser when I get back in the car and again when I get home.
