Coronavirus: McDonald's to close all UK restaurants

McDonald's will close all 1,270 of its restaurants in the UK by the end of Monday, as fears over the spread of coronavirus escalate.
Anyone want to take a bet they have their busiest day of the year?

And you can bet when they eventually reopen their business model will have altered closing many non producing stores, poor locations and using it as an excuse to allow the franchises to shed as many jobs as possible. Cynical I know but thats the attitude of many big businesses, they see the opportunities in adversity.

My granddaughter is currently working in McDonalds ...their safety precautions for staff and customers is exemplary

Though needs ramping up once more...in to drive through only

As at the moment people can still order the food as takeaway ...in front of the counter

They just cannot eat that food inside

My granddaughter is reporting quite seriously more people than ever buying

EVERY part of McDonalds will close from midnight.......take away & drive thru

I know they had already closed the seating areas

That’s a sad but needed move ....but for all of their non employed but zero hour contract workers.
How are all of these people supposed to survive financially? Buy food pay their way? Etc etc

This is all so tragic globally on so many levels !

Nando's have just announced they too will completely close

Boris is slowly closing it all down around them...thank goodness

Going slowly will hopefully stop any anarchy from kicking off

Which sadly some parts of the uk culture are now known for

Though a lot of people of all ages on social media are all asking for a lock down to happen ASAP

Majority of people just want this all behind them as soon as possible
And they want the Pm to stop all of these idiots from walking around and continuing to mix and spread the virus!
