With phase one of the lockdown exit strategy coming into force on Monday, authorities have amended form B (and the 8998 text service) to reflect some of the changes accordingly.

People will be allowed three ‘movements by exception’ — up from the previous one — with permission still to be obtained through the 8998 text service or using form B for those over 65. The curfew will start at 10 pm (from the current 9 pm) and end at 6 am.

There are still eight options. The categories are fundamentally the same with some minor tweaks, as regards options 2 (shopping) 6 (individual exercise) and 7 (ceremony).

One is still visiting a pharmacy or a doctor or going for blood donation.

Two has been reworded to visiting a shop to buy retail trade supplies/services to reflect the fact that other shops are open. Previously it referred to visiting a shop/supermarket for essential supplies/services.

Three remains visiting the bank for services that online transactions are not possible.

Four is necessary visits to public services or services of the wider public sector and local authorities.

Five remains helping people who cannot take care of themselves or people who must be protected or who are in self-isolation and/or in compulsory isolation (quarantine).

Six is for individual physical activity (walking, swimming, cycling, tennis, golf etc) or for pet needs, provided that there are not more than two people together. The previous stipulation that they must restrict themselves in areas adjacent to their residence has been deleted.

Seven is going to a ceremony (e.g. funeral, wedding, christening) of first and second degree relatives not exceeding 10 people. To this has been added: or for private prayer.

Eight remains any other reason which can be justified under the restrictive measures.

This category also includes divorced /separated parents so as to be in able to stay in touch with their children.

Citizens must carry their ID with them.

I didn't have any success with that site I'm afraid. Took me a while going through all the headings and eventualy found one that translates to English which leads to the SMS and Form B rules (not printable) but it isn't the new system just the original one, so no further forward I'm afraid.

Aside from a few extra words, the categories are exactly the same as before, so just keep doing what you have been doing up to now.

I would rather carry the new one if I'm taking my dog for a long walk away from my area of residence as, for me, that is an important change.

I originally used this official website but it is still showing the original form and shall wait because if I download the MS-Word version I can complete the essential personal information prior to printing the form and shall do as before ie print 3 per A4 sheet of paper on both sides.

It is a form that can be completed using Adobe Reader before you print it.

I've just printed one off, then filled in all the repeated details and use that as a master to reprint as many as and when I need them.

Our lives won,t be changing a lot at all

Only difference is...that if we need to go to the bank or chemists at the same time as shopping
We can do that in one outing instead of over 3 days...not go out 3 times a day!

The government are still asking us all to go carefully as we really are at a critical point in time.
And all of the hard work of the last few weeks in lockdown can be undone in a very short space of time...having people in our communities who are Asymptomatic is worrying to say the least...and the virus as we all know is highly contagious

If we have another outbreak our economy won,t be able to take it...which is a very sobering thought

Our personal mantra is still

Stay home stay safe

The virus is still out there, it has not gone away!

If the virus is still out there, as it no doubt is, it will still be out there when hairdressers open, restaurants open (even just outdoors) and when flights start coming back to Cyprus.

You can't stay locked away forever, well you can but I'm not going to.

Correct ....The virus very much so is still out there..at the moment about 30-40 new cases each week..some of them are Asymptomatic...so have no symptoms...but can pass it on...and if folks go mad with not self distancing, those numbers will bounce back up again in a second wave...we are happy to stay home or go for private drives to look at great sea views , taking our own picnic etc ...until a vaccine or medicines are ready to treat the lung disease caused by this virus

You are a long time dead ...and my husband would die if he got the virus

So we have decided to stay self distanced and self Isolated until we can get out again safely..if it takes 12 months plus...then that is what it takes

I think we all have to choose which way to deal with the situation and the way that it could impact on our own lives

Tried a delivery from Alpha Mega but couldn't get a delivery slot, so used Garden of Eden. You have to order over the phone (or by Facebook message), but they were very good and called back within 30 minutes with a couple of items that were out of stock and the whole order arrived about an hour later in a refrigerated van. I thought that was pretty impressive.
