What’s the first thing you would like to do or are looking forward to when the ‘lockdown’ is finally lifted?

A super size decaff cappuccino at my favourite coffee shop - just can't get it quite the same with my Dolce Gusto!

Going to the cemetery in Pegeia to speak to my wife who is buried there. Not been since shut-down.

You are permitted to go to a cemetery - Put in No 8 when requesting SMS permission or write on the form if you are 65+.
(Just checked with a Paphos Funeral Director who said 'Yes that wouldn’t be an issue. No 8').

Hope this helps x

Well they've taken the final payment for what would have been our visit to Cyprus on 14th of May. Now we have to check up who to claim from. We've been told that we are entitled to a full refund, the same holiday later after 'Lock Down'. We also paid with our Credit Card. We were told not to accept a 'Voucher'.
At this moment in time it looks like September unless the prices go through the roof.

I am not even bothered about the picnic, but a drive into the countryside (the mountains especially at this time of year) a couple of times a week and walking deserted paths most days are really the only things I am missing during the lockdown. For the rest, I enjoy the peace and quiet.

We're now waiting to see what the holiday company comes up with now that they've acknowledged our holiday is off, looks like it'll be cash back. certainly wont accept a voucher and can't see a replacement offered because holidays in September are now more that twice the price.
Live music in the UK is dead at the moment as pubs are shut so are most of the clubs.
So it looks like you'll be free of me until May 2021.

I am looking forward to coming back, and in the evening sitting in the harbour with a coffee and a large Metaxa, then going for a beer at Neil's place.

Exercise away from home will now be allowed from Monday so we will be out walking, as we usually did before the lockdown, early on Monday. The rest I can manage without.

Alexis

Thank You. I have a dog and only being allowed out once a day, we both need the exercise. I need to clear my lungs and brisk(ish) walking does that for me.

I'm going on Monday now that I can go out 3 times a day.

Regards

Alan

54th Wedding Anniversary today (7th May) we were hoping to come over to Cyprus as part of our celebrations.
Both our memories go back to 1966/7 when I was serving in Cyprus, what a wonderful start to a marriage.

Alan, appreciate the post was a year ago but I have just read this in the latest update:

''People who need to go to cemeteries to tend to graves may use number 8 which corresponds to any other reason for which movement is justified based on the restrictions''.

Received a call last week from one of the four offspring of a member of my regiment who died following a car crash in Cyprus in 1966. We have kept in touch all these years and when their Mum died we brought her ashes to Cyprus and interred them in their late Fathers grave in the military cemetery at Dhekalia. We always try and get over to the cemetery on our visits.
