Gosh it’s been very quiet. Have the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse arrived and nobody told me?
Are all trying on our summer clothes and found they have shrunk in the wardrobe during 'lockdown'

Look back over the past weeks...months. The site is not quite dead yet but appears to be. No idea why that is.

Maybe it resembles the tourist areas currently ?

Maybe like me, we are all in lock down with no real news or gossip to impart.
The news is too depressing to even want to comment on at the moment.
On the plus side. Ray and I are still virus free, still breathing etc, so that is a bonus.
Hope all over there are the same.

Several forums not just as you state (the other one) offer information and insight. It would be really boring if there was only one forum

Tried it briefly, but found that it was run by an egotistical individual whose behavior seemed very similar to another person who ran a forum and liked to photograph his dinner!

I agree that this forum is quieter than is ideal, but at least you are dealing with more genuine people.

..... just giving the OP (you) a possible simple answer to your question, and yes I have been a member of that forum too since it started!

Not really similarities between the two, the present one doesn't delete posts he doesn't like, doesn't send rude and insulting pm's and emails, doesn't put up photos of his fish and chips but does have a dry sense of humour (which some may find off putting).

He does (or did)! That's why I left that forum. If I wanted to be insulted, I could just stay at home!

Are you talking about the now defunct Cyprus Living or the new one that replaced it? (Different name that I'm probably not allowed to print on here).

I referenced both of them in my original post. My latest comments relate to the newer one.

Old twister do you speak of the guy who seemed to be very unlucky with cars ? So the rumours went he drowned one car !

Maybe unhappy rather than unlucky, given that he changed cars two or three times a year, but fair play if you can do that while surviving on a small pension!
