I have not put this on the UK site as I feel that it is relevant to all countries, I never gave this a thought, have society (pardon the pun) become blind to others less fortunate, please view, only lasts 1.46 minutes.

Not blind to others, it is just the " sod you mate I'm all right " this was something I noticed 20years ago moving from London to Cyprus, life was slower and people cared more but even here that is changing.

Who are actually "the less fortunate"? I work for several charities here and the majority of volunteers, sponsors and donors are pensioners. People who fill containers with food for cats, dogs and refugees are pensioners. People who save their money to go out once a week so that they can buy raffle tickets are - guess what? The exchange rate is worse than it has been for a very long time and people are struggling to pay their rent and feed themselves. Because we have a code of behaviour that informs us that we must be clean and presentable and not whinge about how little we have that doesn't make us more 'fortunate". It makes us hard working decent people who simply cannot support those who are not.

I saw a post on Facebook. I had never given it a thought that guide dogs were not aware of 2m distanceing. I assumed the term " less fortunate" in this post meant physically disabled.
