104 cases yesterday and just heard today from a friend in Peyia that the Bank of Cyprus in Coral Bay has been closed due to a case of Coronavirus.

Track and trace swamped ...needing to contact at least 2500 people

And heard ...a man positive with the virus is being searched for ....as he is wandering all over Peyia...not sure if correct or incorrect information on the man

This sounds a bit strange...to know he was tested positive, someone must know who he is and should be giving us a name and / or description

The Bank of Cyprus in Coral Bay was shut yesterday (Friday) for disinfection / sanitisation. They EXPECT to re-open on Monday

Love this saying "And heard ...a man positive with the virus is being searched for" Which pub did you hear this from eh. .

The man could be all hear say and rumour ....I did say that in my post ...and to be fare I don,t normally spread rumors

But that is the word on the street in Peyia ...take it with a pinch of salt or not !

My biggest worry and concern is that track and trace are swamped ..and not able to reach all contacts of known positive virus cases ...to ask them to isolate..and big numbers are being added daily now to their job ....which up until now Cyprus have managed perfectly

And by the way I don,t frequent pubs ever ...and am in fact ....after drs visit ...back in complete isolation and shielding again ...

As so many positive cases are asymptomatic I assume many people are wandering around and completely unaware they may be spreading the Covid virus, so I view everyone as being 'positive'.

Right from the beginning my priority has been to protect myself........ and in doing so others are automatically protected.

Just going off a topic slightly but have you seen this, it was on BBC news this morning.

China is rolling out a vaccine for the Covid 19, note it is not free cost about £45 so the poor will suffer again.

Listening to the car radio this morning one cynic says China started it now they have a vaccine, or is it because the tourist industry is suffering Makes you wonder, anyway please read and form your own opinion.

China was the first country to have the virus , so you would expect them to be first to have a vaccine (but the article does say not completed testing).

So if they bring out a new flu vaccine every year , I expect it will be the same with covid.
