Starting Thursday, travellers arriving from anywhere to Cyprus with a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate issued by the island’s authorities will not have to undergo testing and quarantine, the transport ministry announced on Wednesday.
These passengers will not be exempted however from the health ministry’s random testing that is carried out at airports.
According to a statement, the cabinet on Wednesday decided that all passengers who can prove they have been vaccinated against Covid-19 and who have a valid certificate from the Republic of Cyprus upon arrival, irrespective of country of origin, will be exempt from tests and the obligation to self-isolate provided the required number of days between the last dose (depending on vaccine) and the travel date has elapsed.
More information concerning the required number of days will be uploaded on CyprusFlightpass
It is noted, the announcement said, that passengers with valid vaccine certificates will have to undergo testing if selected by health officials, as part of the health ministry’s random testing programme at Larnaca and Paphos airports.
Visitors must also adhere to the health and safety protocols in place at any given time.
