One of the effects of ‘Brexit’ from January this year that you might have noticed is that supermarket shelves have less and less UK Meat and Dairy products as stocks run out.
Many items will shortly be as rare as hens teeth such as:
Black pudding; English Cheddar; Pork Pies; Scottish square sliced sausage; Scotch pies; haggis; English sausages (M & S in Paphos has bare shelves in the freezers)
Quote:- “If you travel to the EU from a non-EU country, you are not allowed to bring any meat or dairy products with you in your luggage, vehicle, or person.. You can however bring a limited quantity of fruit and vegetables as well as eggs, egg products and honey. Restricted quantities of fish or fish products are also allowed
In this context, EU includes the 27 EU countries, Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, San Marino, Switzerland.”

The question I have is for any ‘recent’ arrivals in Cyprus….Were you given a Customs Card to complete before landing asking if you had any meats (cooked or uncooked) or any dairy products.

Quote:- “When arriving in the EU you may have to undergo official controls by the authorities. If you are carrying any meat or dairy products, which you have not declared they will be confiscated and destroyed, you may also be fined or face criminal prosecution.”

Following MAD

Interesting question

Though in all fairness ...we eat hardly any uk products at all any more
So many others to choose from ...like SNACK do a great range of uk sausages!
Very good indeed!

And we can still get Irish Kerrygold butter and Irish cheddar cheese!
Which we both love to eat and probably the two that we would miss most

Your Kerrygold Butter will be OK since it is made in Eire (EU)
Irish cheese the same as long as it is made in the South

It is the guy from Shukrou butchers in Paphos, just as you come in from Chlorakas between Pizza Hut and Bank of Cyprus.

I haven't been there either, but I know they get a lot of good mentions, which is why I think this guy has gone out on his own.
