This IS NOT a Covid mask
Attachment:
nose 1.jpg

To the 2 English ex-pat ladies of a certain age who were having lunch with their families in the Haris today
When heading to the toilet, pinching your nose and covering your mouth with your hand IS NOT a Covid mask…it is only useful if
a. You have filled your pants
b. Someone in your company has dropped one

It is also not right to ‘moan about how stupid the rule is to the staff who reprimanded you…it’s NOT their fault, they didn’t make the rules :doh

Not sure if on your part it was ignorance; arrogance or just pure stupidity but whichever, get a grip!!!

I know who you are
You know who you are and I know you have a look on here often so show some respect...PLEASE :clapping

Well said MAD - sheer arrogance and ignorance. Well done by the staff who told them. Do they not realise that both they and the Establishment can be fined heavily. Pity the establishment did not bar them!

Grrr some of the oldies are as bad as the younger generation thinking they're exempt and 'it won't happen to them' BUT they're the first to complain!!

Well said MAD

Common sense tells you
That the bathrooms are tiny with hardly any ventilation...most don,t even have windows
So the virus load builds up in these airless rooms if you don,t wear your mask!

It is so easy!

Wear your masks when going to the bathrooms!

DD there are a lot of oldie expats ...who are WORSE by far than the youngsters!

Over the last week has had a large outbreak of covid in the older expat community!

Thank you Harris Bar for looking after your customers and our Peyia community !
:clap :clap :clap

Masks are worn when going from your car to your table at Resteraunts ...and when going from your table to the toilets etc same as the uk laws where

Masks are worn in all indoor places like shops etc etc

If the streets are not crowded .... most people don,t wear a mask ...use your common sense if the streets are busy ...wear your mask

And I have seen no mask wearing on the beaches that we have driven past
But those that use the beaches will explain more

We do use Safe Pass to enter certain places..Resteraunts, Bars, supermarkets, Malls etc etc so you will need to show either your flight pass or your NHS vaccination status ....my daughter and son in law showed their flight passes this week and all was great

They said it was very much so like the mask wearing they where used to in the uk before the 19th July

Hope that this helps

Wearing a mask, covering the mouth AND nose is mandatory when entering or leaving a catering establishment and any other establishment that can hold 10 or more people. It is also mandatory to wear the mask when moving around in the catering establishment or using their toilets. Those failing to do so can be fined €300.

Being ‘double vaxed’ DOES NOT make you invincible
You can still catch the virus although the symptoms for YOU should be milder
You CAN still pass the virus to others and the symptoms might be much more severe

Well said MAD
:goodpost

Though I thought all indoor places ...no matter how many allowed in...we had to wear our masks to stop the spread of infection?

Peyia by the way has just had a cluster of cases from one person who thought that they could go and mix table to table inside and outside of an establishment in the Peyia area without wearing a mask ...this person turned out to have been covid positive ....and spread their covid Disease to quite a few unsuspecting people whose table they went to

The establishment should have stopped and checked what this person was doing...but didn,t

Again well done Harris Bar for looking after your customers and our Peyia Comunity!

Stay safe all

The virus is still all around us all

Also I have seen some wearing a clear plastic visor, being put on upside down , worn on the chin or neck, it has the effect of funneling any potential germs into the wearers face, just like an air scoop. Also looks very silly a bit like the helmet worn by the soldiers on the death star in star wars. I too am careful of those who wear their masks ( Willy out of pants) and treat them as those they are not wearing a mask.

I know that's what I said - my dear late Mum was heavily involved with the UKCA ( ) and had previously run an elderly care home in the UK - trust me I could write a book on the hilarious antics and attitudes of geriatrics!!!
