Because now everyone is flying in unchecked and mask wearing has stopped

I have never knowingly had covid...I have had 2 vaccinations and I had my booster on 7th Dec 2021 ...so I wasn,t sure if my antibodies where now waning and if I had no cover.....I was worried about catching covid ...so I went today and had my sars covid 19 lgG serum test ....to check and see if I still had any antibodies in my body to help fight against serious covid virus illness

If I hadn’t got any antibodies I would have gone for my 4 th booster

To my huge surprise ...the results are back

Up to 0.79 reading and you have a negative reading and no antibodies
Over 0.80 you have a positive reading and you have antibodies
Imagine my surprise of having a positive reading of 3799 result of having antibodies to the sars covid 19 virus

This has absolutely made my day ...sigh of relief

So happy that I have been checked

Hi Migmogs,

Would you mind letting me know where you had the anti-body test done and the cost, it sounds interesting.

Gary.

Thank you,

I think it's a good idea to check, as you did, before have a vaccination. I will go next week, have my levels checked and if they are suitably high will put back my next jab.

I'm surprised the doctors don't check automatically.

Gary

I don,t understand either Gary as to why more antibody tests are not being done
I am finding it all very confusing

On one site... I read that even showing antibodies ...that you still might not be covered for the next strain...so therefore you should have any next covid vaccinations being offered !

So then how is the world supposed to be building up herd immunity? And what about those who have had covid and never had vaccinations?

If I have antibodies ...surely to me that is a good thing!

I understand different strains of flu ..and hence a yearly flu jab....is this what they are saying?

It is all still so very confusing

But I am glad that for now ...I still have antibodies to this awful covid!

I am no scientist but if the Covid Vaccine has not been changed then Anti Bodies from catching the virus must give better protection, it will contain new variants, yes if they find a new strain and update the vaccine then that would be better, either way, I'm unsure about taking drugs when not needed so if I have good anti bodies I will not have a booster yet.

Gary.

Let me know how you get on Gary
And yes until a vaccination is made against the different variants ...then having a good amount of sars covid 2 antibodies as got to be the way forwards

Stay safe all
