Liz Truss has dramatically resigned as prime minister after just 45 days in the job.

The PM said her successor will be elected in a Tory leadership contest, to be completed in the next week.

And so the uk remains rudderless once again through these turbulent times!

Sheer in-house, corrupt, puppetry madness

maybe now we will see who was chosen to be the real puppet PM all along... to follow the orders of those above!

Because none of this is making any sense at all
And it most definitely is NOT uk politics that we all grew up with

Brexit made no sense either, but at the time 52% of the population moronically thought it was a brilliant idea.

Read a poll yesterday (can't find it at the moment) which said that if there was a new referendum on whether to return to the EU or not, over 59% would now vote to do so with just 25% in favour of the staus quo.

If Boris was perchance voted in as Prime Minister again, he would be out by Christmas, once the outcome of the Partygate investigation into whether he lied to Parliament or not is complete. It is claimed that many of his former staff will this time testify against him and the evidence already to hand is said to be pretty damning.

And so the s**tshow goes on, with Tory MPs completely oblivious to the daily trials and tribulations of their constituents: 10.2% inflation; 15% food and drink inflation, enormous energy prices only being assisted through to April, mortgage costs soaring, the NHS and Care sectors in dire straits, a blizzard of strikes (most with very genuine grievances)... and so on.

The UK government is the laughing stock of the world. We in Cyprus are fortunate to live where we do, in comparative sanity.

Inflation is 10.1 and not 10.2 as Yakflyer states. Inflation in Cyprus is I believe 9% so not a vast difference most especially as Cyprus citizens are not receiving the financial assistance that the UK is. As pensioners we have already received £850 with a further £500 due next month in winter fuel allowance. We will, also receive the triple lock on our pensions in April which will, of course benefit UK pensioners living in Cyprus too.

Poppytim,

you are receiving money that really doesnt exist in any form and simply being created and printed to keep you mummified in the UK. That money (such as it is) has to be paid for in massive increased borrowing costs and increasing the money supply to the markets, hence inflation in the first place.

Its time most people in the so called civilized economies woke up to see the not mismanagement but deliberate rape of their systems and people.

WEF
Soros
Gates
et all are all on record to state that is their short term goal, they are doing it and still you cant see it.

Sadly Poppytim, if I were a pensioner there is no option not to take increases but fortunately that is some way off for me. All the giveaways, pension increases, energy support is simply borrowed money and the UK votes in whoever lies (sorry promises) the nicest giveaways.

They are all lying parasites (with very few exceptions) there to line their own pockets and after 2 terms should never be allowed to restand.
