we got bombarded with Cyprus estate agents on our Paphos site, that was until I asked every time if the property came with title deeds, suddenly no more.

Wow, what an opening statement, ok, which agents, lets see your responses and do you actually know what the title deed is?

No but my Union Solicitor does and he warned me not to to go ahead without receiving the title deeds.

Because for the last 15 years he has been a moaning whinger never satisfied with the Island he so likes to visit.

He checks with a UK solicitor regarding title deeds when no deisre to buy. He is a walter mitty. And has no idea what a title deed actually is. But is sounds like a buzz important word.

I took a list to an estate agent of 20 'Buy Sells' properties that we were genuinely interested in, only two came with title deeds

It was our hope/intention buy/rent on the beautiful Island where we first lived with HMForces back in 1966/7.
How do you explain the conn of not allowing the title deeds being issued on apartment blocs until ALL apartments are sold where there is Always One Room unsold (not an apartment just a room)?
We did try a move to Cyprus with a plan to initially long term rent and even went to the expense of bringing our dog and two cats but things didn't work out so we returned to the UK.
BTW my union solicitor has contacts with solicitors outside the UK.
