Just interested but what is your favourite film and why?

For me:

1. Life of Brian

I love it for the sense of humour - like 'What have the Romans ever done for us"

2. Ice Age - again so brilliantly funny.

3. Soldier Blue - an old one but great music from Buffy St. Marie
(got the sound track)

4. Dances with Wolves. Just love Kevin Costner and this film was great.

5. The Kingdom. Fairly new and great action.

6. Minority Report. I usually dislike Tom Cruise and his religious beliefs but loved this film.

7. Leon with Jean Reno. Just brilliant

8. Donnie Darko - a cult film which is really good.

9. The Doors- with Val Kilmer just love the music.

10. The Jazz Singer Neil Diamond. Love it. Love it. And his music.

11. Beaches with Bette Midler

12.Dirty Harry - anything 'He' does gets my vote

13. The Secret. Rhonda Bryan et al. Live my life by it.

Not in any particular order - totally random.

So what are yours?
Tiggy

I've got to say my favourite film would have to be: Bad Boys, its funny & action all in one :!:

I have some 300 DVD's & I'd say 95% of them are probably actions movies, but I suppose you should expect anything else from a military man

I'm not into films but I swear, in another life, I was at Rorke's Drift, such was the effect that ZULU had on me !
How can you beat it, a real Boys Own that one, lost count of the times I've seen it.
All together now ... Men of Harlech ......

I love Labyrinth. But what else would you expect from a Bowie fan.

Also "It's A Wonderful Life", but I haven't seen it for several years now. Is it out on DVD, does anyone know?

I love ET. I wish he was real cos I would love to have him as a friend.

Oops. Have I spoilt it now? You did know he isn't real, didn't you Trish?

Nothing wrong with your other choices, either. They remind me of Christmas for some reason.

Actually no it was the Dirty Dancing and Flashdance clips, although now you come to mention it the penguin film was on at Christmas and I did have a little jig but that might have been more about the Barcardi and Cokes and not the film :party

The Departed must be one of the best films I have seen for many years. Jack Nicholson's performance is brilliant .Although violent in parts such a powerful storyline keeps you viewing right to the end. This film will stay in my collection . Can't think of any other movie that would come anywhere near this one. :D
