I do like a good conspiracy...

Just heard today that apparently the plane that crashed at Heathrow over the weekend was actually supposed to be taking our beloved PM Gordon Brown to China, but was changed due to a 2 hour inbound delay....



Any other conspiracy theory afficionados out there, perhaps hiding behind a grassy knoll??

Oh I love listening to these 'Conspiracy Theories' and then dissecting them bit by bit

Mr Brown can crash standing on his own and doesnt need a plane to do that for him!

hmmmm ......
just battled it out with the hubby and here it is....

1. he was put on another flight because of 2 hour delay
2. the engines lost power
3. he was at the airport when it crashed
4. turnaround time is usually about 2 hours
5.had the plane been on time he would have just been taking off!

holds some ground i suppose!

Talking of conspiracies there is a great book around ( I think I got my copy from Mouflon) called “The Cyprus Conspiracy” it was written sometime ago but theorises a lot about the UK and US’s involvement in the events leading up to the 74 invasion, following the release of the closed records (after the 30 years) in the UK… a lot of the theories were proved true…..

Can’t remember the author off the top my head and the books at home but well worth a read for anyone who has an interest in the modern history of Cyprus….

Some of the best conspiracy theories are those surrounding the 9/11 attacks.

Just a few of the key questions that remain unanswered:

1. Why were standard operating procedures for dealing with hijacked airliners not followed that day?

2. Why were the extensive missile batteries and air defenses reportedly deployed around the Pentagon not activated during the attack?

3. Why did the Secret Service allow Bush to complete his elementary school visit, apparently unconcerned about his safety or that of the schoolchildren?

4. Why hasn't a single person been fired, penalized, or reprimanded for the gross incompetence we witnessed that day?

5. Why haven't authorities in the U.S. and abroad published the results of multiple investigations into trading that strongly suggested foreknowledge of specific details of the 9/11 attacks, resulting in tens of millions of dollars of traceable gains?

If the Americans were the first men on the moon, who was holding the camera that filmed them descending from the capsule to the moon surface?

erm... it was attached to one of the legs of the lunar landing craft... most people have a memory of the event that has been distorted by countless hollywood movie versions...

i do agree with the gordon brown stuff though... it would have been relatively easy ( ! ) to have rigged some sort of cut-out to trigger engine loss at the first point the aircraft crossed 200m after a specific time; eg taking off, not two hours late landing.

I guess we'll never know; I'm damned sure we won't be told by a |Labour spokesman!

At least slough is left standing...

Was the moon landing a hoax? My Mum, just before she died, related how I put on my hat, coat and gloves when I watched the moon landing in readiness to go. I swear I don't remember doing that!

Fancy telling my kids that. I was soooo embarrassed. Now they know that I was just a regular kid, and not a perfect being created as a Mum.

Mums have an uncanny knack for showing us up in front of our kids!

My mum calls it "Grannies revenge" for all the things we did as kids!

She regulary tells my kids how I argued for years that helicopter was in fact helichopper and chimney was chimley!

He favourite tho is to sit and watch me get them all clean and fresh ready to go out then gives the cream eggs!! (exactly like her mother did to her!! )

Apparently the moon landing happened in Area 51, which no one is allowed to enter due to that fact

It was apparently photographed by a Russian Satellite so that's why it is so highly classified & no one will admit to it being a real place either

Zeusfc, what do you mean everyone can remember that........ I may look 70 years old but I was just at the stage of contemplating the wide world during the landings, and even with the advancements in technology, I didnt get to see it live. Just like I remember the Beatles ON RERELEASE some 10 years later.

I don't need to read up on it mate, I saw the Nat Geo programme & they showed Russian satellite photo's of Area 51 & it looked like the surface of the moon Roswell is a someone thought up to cover up the moon landing being at Area 51... if you watched the landing & I wasn't born at the time but I've seen the footage, if it was on the moon, how come the flag was moving in the back ground

Apparently, the flag had a stiffening rod on the upper side so it would stand out from the staff. When the astronauts moved the pole, the free corner lagged behind by simple inertia. The flag actually flops unnaturally quickly because there is no air resistance to impede it.

Bit more on what people think Area 51 is actually used for:

-The storage, examination, and reverse engineering of crashed alien spacecraft (including material supposedly recovered at Roswell), the study of their occupants (living and dead), and the manufacture of aircraft based on alien technology.
-Meetings or joint undertakings with extraterrestrials.
-The development of exotic energy weapons (for SDI applications or otherwise) or means of weather control.
-The development of time travel technology.
-The development of unusual and exotic propulsion systems related to the Aurora Program (see Aurora aircraft).
-Activities related to a supposed shadowy one world government and or the Majestic Twelve organization.

I'm telling you people, the truth is out there....

Sorry to say, thats not what I saw, the flag pole was in the ground & no one was near it & it moved like a breeze had blown it

Also, the lunar landing craft cast a shadow over the moon surface in front of it which was suppose to been from the sun behind it but the front of the craft was clearly visable & no one had a touch shining on it

It was staged at Area 51, thats why its so top secret, why else when the Chinese said they were planning a moon trip did the Americans start to prep for a trip to beat them... just so they could cover their tracks & plant evidnce

also, can someone explain to me how back in July 69 were they able to fly through the radiation belt surrounding the earth without any ill effect, considering they didn't have proper protection against it on the space craft
