Wwe planted tomatoes from seed around June last year in pots and were harvesting after 6 weeks and still picking at Christmas. A few weeks ago we planted from seed lettuce, cherry tomatoes, rocket, cucumber, basil. We are now enjoying sweet freshly picked lettuce+rocket in our salad and the cucumber is soon to flower, the tomatoes are now flowering so a month or so and will have tomatoes hopefully for most of the year. We have had a few tomatoe deliveries from a friend of my mother-in-law so presumably they can be grown from seed from March or earlier if in greenhouses !? We ate potatoes (very small
) at Easter this year which had been planted just before Christmas, and ate potatoes at Christmas planted in August !!
Some say you can grow anything all year around here but strawberries we tried haven't germinated yet, and last year our lettuce just didn't get going - both seeds planted in late June(last year) so next year i`m gonna aim to plant seeds outside around March.
If you find a good resource for growing and maintaining ANYTHING in Cyprus then let me know as i`m a beginner to gardening/growing and it appears to be trial and error
