Everton are apparently "close" to bringing Michael Owen to Goodison Park, and the little striker is reportedly quite keen to go.

After having alledgedly accepted that none of the "big four" will take a chance on him, Owen is prepared to walk out of Newcastle after wage disputes, and Newcastle will be happy to sell.

The 28 year old former England striker could be used as a replacement for Andrew Johnson, should the former be sold.

I think he should "stick" with Newcastle Utd.

If he leaves just because of a mere 40k a week wage cut, good riddence to him

Personally I think its just crap-loid gossip again, as he was apparently saying yesterday how KK has made a great impact at Newcastle & everyone is loving it

But if he goes, as least that'll save us 120k a week wages which we can pay towards keeping Martins, Taylor & getting a few other players in too
