He then said in Spanish " I want to meet the Messiah" but they told him Sir Niall Quinn was otherwise disposed and when he asked in Spanish " Where is Kevin ?" he was told that Kevin was at home reading the Sunday papers trying to work out who Newcastle had signed !

Yep & he had Colocinni on the back of it, plus the player was in the stands with him....

So Pete this time last week the two clubs agreed a fee for Collocini. On Saturday he was in the stand for your friendly against the Spaniards, but you still haven't managed to get his signature on a contract. Why is that?

Could it be he wasn't impressed with what he saw at the weekend or could it be he is waiting for a bigger club to come along and snatch him? Is that a phone call from Mr Ramos I hear?

Even you can't believe your lot would spend that amount of money on someone they have been chasing all summer then say nowt when they sign him!!!!

If he does sign I will guarantee a big press release with the full backroom squad their to show a solid front to the leemings.

Well they say he's playing against Manc USA on Sunday, so I should hope it's all done & dusted, same as the Spider, he's still not got his paperwork sorted but will be playing... not sure what the crack is with Bassong, he's supposedly signed laready but its not showing on the Sky Sports News channel as a signage

Don't think Spiderman will be playing somehow.

I understand things are still not too good on the Spiderman front with his old club refusing to release his registration. Although he has been able to play in Friendlies he cannot play in any competetive matches, so unlesss they do release his registration he will not be playing.

I thought the Bassong deal was all done and dusted so don't think there will be any issues with him. Collocini however is a different matter, still no official word from the club and now he has been here for 4 days or so. Surely you can't snatch defeat from the jaws of victory as far as signing him is concerned, can you?

Maybe its a ploy to get Manc USA thinking we don't have any player & then at the last minute, they say both Collocini & Spiderman can play which really screws SAF up in the head

Btw, apparently, Owen & Martins aren't playing at Ole Trifford... so just Smith as our strike force..
