Hi Madge,

First let me welcome you to our new site & hope you get lots of information regarding your question :!:

I persoanally enjoy living in a village atmosphere. Choosing an area to live would depend on lots of different things, like transportation, whether you want to live in an area with lots of ex-pats or not, is it a villa, house, apartment or bungalow you need, so you need to consider these things when deciding where to live.

You'll get lots of advice from lots of different people & I hope you find what it is your looking for!

I was searching through Cyprus forums, after looking at few others and I found this new site. It seems a lot more friendlier than some of the forums I've looked at previously.

As I am youngster...a mere 22, I felt that the other forums just weren't catering for a younger age group. So I decided to post a few times, asking a few questions and the response I got was great, exactly what I am looking for having never been to Cyprus...yet!

All I know about Cyprus I've learnt from my older brother who was stationed here & he said it was great.

So I am hoping to keep on posting with my daft questions...well they may seem daft to you but it would really help me a lot.

Cheers

Hi Madge and welcome

We live in Stroumpi Village which we find to be in the perfect position.

We are only 10-15 minutes away from all the shops and amenities of Paphos (although it does look much further on a map) and about 20 minutes away from Polis, Latchi harbour and the beautiful Argaka coastline.

We came here for many years on holidays before we emigrated and always based ourselves in Paphos itself. Perfect if you're here for a 2 week holiday but we find it much better to be out of all the hustle, bustle and humidity now that we actually live here.

It's all down to what you want yourselves!

I'm sure that you will find this forum of great interest to you over the coming months and I'm positive that you have many questions to ask all of us who have made "the move" and we will probably have an answer for you.

If we don't have the answer straight away then I hope that we are in the right place to find that answer for you!!!

Steve
