Starting this coming Saturday 30th August, the Stroumbi Tavern will be showing the following live matches:

Saturday 30th

5.00pm Kick Off - Westham v Blackburn (Dependant on fan turn out, so could change!)

7.30pm Kick Off - Arsenal v Newcastle

Sunday 31st

6.00pm Kick Off - Astone Villa v Liverpool

You'll also be able to buy food & beverages while watching the football, this includes Chip Butties & Burgers, so come on over to the Stroumbi Tavern & enjoy a few Keo's while watching your favorite team play :D

Any idea how big screen will be?

Asking due to Dean being rather blind.

It would probably take you as long to get to the G&D Martin as it would Stroumbi but I know what you mean :D

I'll still be going the G&D for normal Sat & Sun matches but the late night one's like Saturdays 7.30pm kick off., I'll just pop up there me thinks, as it's only 7 mins drive & he's doing bar food also :D :D

I'll probably stick with D&G mainly. I think it's closer for us! Stroumbi Tavern is along the Polis road somewhere or am I wrong again.

I don't mind trying different places from time to time.

See :greetings Martin and Yvonne on Saturday then

Aha!

All good news!

Lets just they it the games on until our house is built (in stroumbi village)!

Would have been even handier if they had the games on when we were in Tsada. Oh well, musn't grumble.

Chelsea 2-0 Spurs

The reason Steve is doing the Live matches is mainly for people who live in the surrounding villages, as the nearest sports bar is either in Kathikas or Paphos, so having one in Stroumbi will be good for those that live in Polemi, Tsads, Stroumbi, Kalapia, Kolli etc :D :D

Plus the added bonus of food also, was up there last night & the food menu looks good to me:

Chip Butties
Burgers, with or without cheese
Egg & Bacon Rolls
Baguettes
etc!

He's also doing a discount on a different beer every week, this week is Keo's turn

As I said, I'll still be at the G&D for most matches as at present he only has 1 TV & won't be showing every Toon match but if things take off, which I think they will, he'll get Sky as well & more TV's, I'm really looking forward to watching the TOON v Arsenil tomorrow & eating my Chip Buttie.. mmmmmmmm

Where were you last week Ali :? :?

Stroumbi is approx 7mins from Tsada, 15mins from Anavargos, :D

G&D is approx 30 mins from Tsada, 20mins from Anavargos depending on traffic & being able to park

I did PM Yvonne saying we couldn't make it last Saturday. But I think she got the message afterwards.

I don't where the Stroumbi Tavern is then! Where is it?

I would take losing 3-0 away at Arsenal over a 3-0 home defeat by Man City any day mind....

It's just off the Polis road in Stroumbi, about 500 yrds up the road from the Esso petrol station, you'd see the big YELLOW sign on the fence as you drive through Stroumbi, you can't miss it :D :D

We're lucky it wasn't 5-2 against Arsenil, if it wasn't for Given, they'd have scored more but then again, if Ameobi hadn't gotten in Owens way, he should have scored, who know how it would have turned out, even more so if we hadn't sold Milners before Saturday, we'd have had the same team out that hadn't lost but we did, so the team changed & the players where in different positions

I don't know where this place is Pete. Have you changed venues for fear of being bush whacked ?
I'll just get a taxi to it when the times right !
Gary
