Is it right that in an effort to help Barton ease back into Sid James, KK has requested Newcastle change their home shirts from black and white stripes to black and white arrows ?

Is that right that now that Nike have pulled out of Barton's boot sponsorship, he's looking to get a pair that will make him feel at home ?
Thay will be chained to his ankles  and probably made by Kickers !

Diouff's habits are disgusting and let me tell you if he does that at The Stadium of Light he'll get lynched by the home fans.
Keane made a bad tackle on a football pitch, he did not assault a teammate badly in training, he did not assault a youngster while on a club tour and assault his club captain when he intervened and he did not walk about the streets of his home city assaulting innocent people.
Don't try and deflect the appalling behaviour of Newcastle by standing by this thug ,if you want a reminder of other thugs at your club I'll start with Bellamy oh and Bowyer oh and Dyer and there's more so shut up.
Gary, Happy to be a Mackem.

Touchy, touchy, did I touch a nerve mate, a little to close to the bone was I

Btw did you take this stance against Manc Usa when Cantona came back after he jump kicked a fan on live TV or is it just because its Newcastle

Pete, Cantona was a superstar and was provoked. He did it once not umpteen times. He did it in a different era.Barton is on ridiculous money and has done it again and again and again. This in a season when the FA have urged players to set an example for youngsters.
This was an opportunity for Newcastle to make a stand. Your club would have gained some respect from football fans all over if they had.
You should not be trying to deflect the shabby situation your club are in by bringing up other incidents.
Gary

I'm not trying to defect anything, I just pointing out that other clubs have had/still have troublesome players in their squads but have not kicked them out for breaking the law, lets name a few:

Keane - Mac Usa (Dirtest player ever to play in the EPL)
Cantona - Manc Usa (Jump kick)
Diouff - Mackems (Spitting)
Bellemy - Westham (Fighting)
Bower - Westham (Fighting)
Dyer - Westham (Fighting)
Barton - Toon (Fighting)
Zidane - Retired (Flying headbutt)
Vinny Jones - Retired (Grabbed Gazza's privates)

It doesn't matter if they do it on the streets, training pitch or on the fields, fighting is fighting & you don't know any of the circumstaqnces behind why these players did what they did, as you said, Cantona was a 'superstar & provoked' so that should make a difference in your book, who says Barton or the others weren't

You're just blinkered against the TOON Gary, that's your problem, don't forget Barton was with Citey when the alleged attack on his team captain happened, he wasn't a TOON player then, so why didn't Citey sack him, why aren't you having a pop at them also, the truth be told it because he's a TOON player now & we know how much you dislike the TOON, so it's just added to your hatered even more

To be perfectly honest, I don't think Barton should be playing for us anymore but I also won't sit & watch other fans slag off the TOON for not doing what other teams haven't done in the past, why should they, why should they lose £6mil without getting a penny back for doing what no other club has done with troublesome players, why :?

Another key difference with Barton is that he's admitted his offence and served his time - who are we to say he should be subjected to additional punishment? Someone else would snap him up in a heartbeat too, so the toon would be the only losers.

Oh, and the Keane incident with Haaland was a lot more than a bad tackle - it was a premeditated assault that ended the bloke's career - at least Dabo can still walk!

Pete yet again you are wrong. I disliked Barton at City and thought they should have slung him out too. When you lot bought him you knew the risk you were taking.I've seen a lot worse than Keane who was just a committed player, a certain Mr Wise springs to mind, now there's a nasty piece of work.Keane is not the only player ever to have deliberately fouled an opposing player. But Pete let';s face it he was playing for Man United, your second team !
If Spit the Dog does it again I'll be campaigning to fling him out, don't worry about that and I wish we had not signed him so let's put that one to bed.
I can't believe you two are defending your club and him by bringing up all these other players, half of them on Pete's list by the way committed their thuggery whilst at Newcastle not West Ham but we'll conveniently not mention that Pete. Cos this is Pete's World and in Pete's World everyone wears black and white striped glasses.
It's like someone else said about you recently, the kettle calling the pot.
And while I'm on, I have listened to loads of Newcastle fans speaking about this on the radio and not one has attacked other players or clubs or the behavious of Man City, not one. They have just about all criticised their beloved black and whites and that's a fact.
Gary 8-)
Looking forward to the start of the season.

That maybe the case Gary but why shouldn't we bring other players into this, are you saying that what Barton has done is any different to any of the other thugs out there :?

Yes I know he's a thug & if you look at my post, I've said he shouldn't be allowed to play for us but I'm not defending him, I'm defending the TOON against other fans, who are out to slag off the TOON because they haven't booted him out of football, for some other teams to pick him up on the cheap, ie the Spurts, Mackems etc, when other teams like Citey, Manc Usa & Bolton never did it with the players who broke the law while in there teams

Why should the TOON be the first team to start that trend, why :?: :?: :?:

So its back to the personal slurs again is it Gary  you really need to stop the personal attacks mate, because if you can't handle the 'Friendly' banter, maybe you shouldn't read the posts & reply

Well it looks like the FA are going to ban Barton for 15 matches now, which I find a little strange as he's already served time for the crimes he's committed, so can they do that :? :?

if it is to do with the training ground incident then yes they can as they would not have been able to hold a disrepute case due to the court case going on, now that is out of the way and he is out of prison, he would be able to represent himself at any appeal over this ban (not heard it mentioned anywhere though)

But then that's unfair on the TOON as he was a Citey player when that incident happened, so why should Newcastle suffer for that :? :?

I wasn't going to comment much anymore but have to say that when Newcastle signed Barton, even the idiots in charge at Sid James' must have known about Barton's impending court case and the fact that the FA would only act after the court case was dealt with.
So they knew this was likely to happen yet still bought him.

Everton to sign Alan Smith in the next few days against the wishes of KKK and Little Jimmy Krankie. Your attack against Man Utd in 8 days time will be Ameobi and Duff.

Sir Alex must be shaking with the thought of that line up.

There may be trouble ahead.

Yeah but what's going on in The Carry On studios, I mean how can a club discuss/plan selling a player when the manager is clearly against it ?

Arthur Cox has resigned as Newcastle's Asst Manager. He's been everywhere with Keegan but has had enough of the shenanigans at Sid James.
There may be trouble ahead.....................
Or maybe not as at least one paper today says that Keegan is to get a war chest, can sign players, as Cashley appears to have had a change of heart. ( Now let's see why would he do that now ? mmm)

I'm going to start calling you Gary Goebbels for the spin you put on some of these stories!

Arthur Cox coming back was only ever a temporary arrangement to help KK get back into the swing of things - the bloke is nearly 70 after all!

The bit about Keegan's war chest is no change, that's the situation as it always has been, it's just the papers who've been trying to spin stories about supposed conflict etc.

It's actually pretty encouraging that KK is being so selective in finding his targets, rather than splashing the owner's cash around like confetti (eh, Roy? ) - our squad is stronger than a lot of people give it credit for, a couple more decent acquistions and we'll be back up challenging for the European places this season.

It's the old pre-season optimism kicking in, can't help myself! :D

I love it that everyone is writing us off already, while KK goes quietly about his business - we've been playing some really good stuff in the last couple of friendlies, big players still to come back and a couple more decent signings and we'll be surprising a few people I reckon....

You seem quietly confident Martin. I would not like to predict what will happen to your lot. I'll be surprised if you get through the season without something sensational happening.
You may be able to finish about 8th but there again you may be in a relegation battle. Same for Boro, hard to call but they need to steer away from injuries.
If we don't sort our defence out and in particular sign a good centre back this week we will struggle and Liverpool will have it wrapped up before half time. We need a goalscorer and while I have faith in them, Quinny and Roy are leaving it bloody late.

Pete

I Arthur's return was only temporary to help KKK settle back in, why did KKK not praise him for his work when he was asked why Arthur had left the club at the weekend. All he said was "He has left the club, Ensd of story". Hardly ringing priase for him is it. Given the long working relationship they have had I would have thought he deserved a better send off than that, especially if it was pre-arranged.

Also, funny how Arthur himself has not come out with an explanation for his sudden departure, almost as though it wasn't his decision to leave and he is gagged as part of his settlement arrangements.

Makes you think KKK didn't agree with Arthur leaving, whatever the reasons were.

Any views?

What you asking me for, it was Martin & Gary who were talking about Arthur Cox, not me..

We all know that if Ashleyt doesn't want someone around, he'll get rid of them, that's what business men do isn't it., as for Cox leaving, as Martin said, he was 70 & retiring, so why do people want to make a big deal out of it, that's why KK didn't comment,. as he didn't feel the need to

All I see it more pitiful tabloid muck-raking - Ashley has just issued his first in-depth interview since taking over via the official club magazine and has specifically advised fans against taking note of anything that doesn't come from official channels and with verifiable quotes.

One thing we know about KK is that he won't stand any interference in his runniing of affairs, and as his relations with Ashley are clearly fine, there's no reason to suspect any problems whatsoever.

For the benefit of Gary the mackem propaganda machine, he's also now clarified Wise's role at the club - he is solely charged with finding and bringing in a minimum of 6 top class under-17's every season, and has no say in first team recruitment or running.

A clear change in direction is that the club are giving absolutely nothing to the press - maybe not the best decision longer term, but at least we know the cr@p they're coming out with is made up.

Owen for sale for as little as £2m !!!!! What the hell is going on now ?
Keegan and Wise don't speak !
The board are fuming with Keegan's latest backing of the thug !
Alan Smith...remember him ? throws a wobbler on the training ground
CF What happened to your theory that KK won't stand any interference ? He has been embarassed by the Milner affair.
I can see him walking and I don't think Ashley will be bothered.
There may be trouble ahead............

This thing with Barton at Arsenil, it's reather strange that Ashley is seen downing a pint in 1, then gets up & leaves, we then see Barton getting ready to come on, KK's face as red as thunder, then Ashley is shown back in his seat again :? :?

I bet Ashley phoned KK & said get Barton on as we're losing & lets give them something to write about

Well it worked as it was mentioned in nearly all the Sunday Craploids & on Sunday Suppliment on SKy Sports 1 too :D :D

It seems Ashley is now being investigated for his drinking antics yesterday as it is against the law to drink alcohol in open view of the pitch in all UK football grounds. Arsenal are looking into this to find out how he was allowed access to the drink. See even when you lot are pretending to be one of the lads they can't get it right. Bless.

Regards.

Isn't it down to the Stewards to stop people taking drinks onto the terrace :?

If so, isn't that Arsenils fault for not stopping him

When I saw Ashley sink that pint in 1 on the TV, you could have sworn he was just a normal punter on the terrace, not the owner of NUFC

Not as embarrassing as only being able to get 39k for a home game despite having spent almost 70 million on new players in the last 12 months!

Magic carpet looking a bit frayed round the edges already?? :D

Most clubs would settle for 39k. As I'm sure you are aware we haven't exactly been ripping up trees in recent years.
I think Keane has spent £26m this year. Have to admit I was surprised with that crowd.
The fact is that 39k is not an embarrasment at all and your chairman quite clearly is. His decision to snub Sir Niall last season was a disgrace.
While we are on about Sid James I see my prediction of you lot getting players in from Spain is coming true. I bet KK knows bugger all about them.

If Nacho and Xisco are half as good as Gutierrez and Coloccini I'm sure KK will be more than happy!

At least we have a recruitment team that knows a bit more about football than the Irish league and picking up cast-offs from other Prem clubs!

Oh yeah, your recruitment team casts it's net over Spain and then brings in players who are a gamble without letting the manager know who he is gonna get.
Everyone knew KK wanted a left back so where is he ? I'm thinking Warnock from Blackburn, oh yeah he's still at Blackburn cos Not so Wise didn't fancy him and he didn't speak Spanish.
Talking of speaking Spanish it appears Keegone is saying " Adios Por Favor !"

Crikey..........latest Sky News report is that Newcastle have denied sacking Keegan and want to follow his vision through with him at the helm.

Just what is going on. Pete et al are keeping stum until the facts are in no doubt.

Still as a neutral, brewery up p1ss organise and in one couldn't, springs to mind.

And it's precisely the fear of a riot that has made Ashley back track.
If he didn't realise that sacking KK would not go down well then what does he know about the club?
Really only at Sid James'.
They'll be telling us next it was never on the cards and it's a marriage made in heaven !
