Don't believe this story, it is a hoax.

Ashley has released this story to annoy the Toon fans so that when it is discovered to be a hoax and the new manager (a certain Mr O'Leary) is announced everyone will see Ashley for what he really is. The saviour of North East Football.

Right I am off for a lie down now as the voices in my head are starting to shout at me again.

How the f*%k can anyone think Joe Kinnear will be able to turn this l;ot around in a month.

It beggars belief.

John

Gary

Don't gloat too soon, he brings with him years of recent experience at the top level. After all it's only 4 short years since he left Notts Forest and we all know what a great team them have been recently.

Bless.

John

Boogs,
I am not gloating........... I am laughing.
Gary
On a serious note I believe they had to get someone in as Chris Hughton was begging to be relieved of his duty.
Football is a funny old game and crazy things happen but he is a big surprise.Mind, wasn't he the gaffer at Wimbledon when Dirty Dennis played for them?

Mind, the latest is he's only keeping the seat warm for Shearer and Keegan's return in November.
More likely to see them two together in Christmas Panto at the Theatre Royal along with Ant and Dec me thinks.
What a great start to the weekend, it just gets better and better.
Gary :celebrate
Eeeh you know I'm wetting my pants.
I know there's supposed to be banter in football but even I am starting to feel sorry for the geordies, I mean it's all one way traffic, the amount of ammunition I'm getting just isn't fair.
PS, Look North claim they have questioned Shearer about his impending role as manager and he stated he knew nothing about it and if it really was being mooted he would have thought he'd have been told.( Just before the geordies get excited!)

We'll not get O'leary as he'll be replacing Keano when he walks because he doesn't like the fans booing at him

As for Kinnear, he's only here to keep the seat warm for KK, I'll be laughing if we start to win our matches again, no matter who's running the ship

Yes Pete and like I've said, strange things happen in football. You may start winning.
As for Keane leaving, aren't we covering that on another thread ? Read the link I've put up on that thread.
Please don't go off topic, you've pulled others up for doing that, me owld matey.
This thread is about Joke in Here.
Gary

Well you mentioned O'Leary, so as he's Irish too, I thought he'd be your next manager

As for Kinnear, apparently Vinnie Jones has offered to help him sort the TOON out, so we could even get our own Hollywood star coaching our players...

Listened to him being interviewed on Sky and have to say I was impressed with his honesty. He might be what the players need in terms of a fatherly figure.
He seems the sort of bloke you'd want to play for and win for. He let it slip that if he does well who knows what might happen and also said that after the international break in 3 weeks, when he has players back we will see a very different Newcastle team.
Mmmmm Newcastle play Sunderland in 4 weeks.
Gary

I'm actually reasonably impressed with Joe so far - making all the right noises and seems to have his head screwed on.

If he can coax something approaching a decent performance out of our shower this weekend his stock will rise considerably.

Seems that Joe has sign a new contract until the end of the season :o

http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1469731,00.html

So saying that, it looks like Ashley hasn't found a buyer for the club & we're going to be stuck with him until the summer or at least until someone wants to buy us, if he doesn't decide to keep us

Now is that a good or bad thing :?

Can't argue about the sterling work he has done since he arrived. Remember before he joined you were in the bottom three, now look where you are, 3rd bottom

Seriously I do think it had to happen sooner rather than later to give you any chance in the January sales. At least he will be able to decide who can go, unlike Mr Keegan and who should join. The big question is whether or not any of the ones he ewants will be silly enough to join you given the situation the club will still be in at that time.

I think Owen will leave and I also think Given will go. If Taylor and Charlie boy go aas well it could spell disaster for you as far as relegation goes, and I am sure none of us on here (including Gary) want that to happen to the Toon.

Cheers

John

I think it all depends on what Ashley is willing to do for us in the transfer window really :(

If he coughs up some dosh, then maybe we'll get some players in, if not & JFK has to sell before buying, then we could be in trouble

What a wonderfu Xmas this is going to be for us TOON fans, its the not knowing thats the problem

Still time for you to see sense and come across to the Spurs side of things. We are flying now, 5th bottom and still in Europe and the Carling cup.

Appy Days

The day you support the TOON will still be a life time before I support the Spurts mate

And remember, you're still in your honeymoon period, so be careful, its could all change over night

Looks like Ashley is backing him with a whopping £12m this coming January for a couple of transfers that JFK wants & apparently if we get them, we'll be Image according to JFK :smilielol

Personally from what I've read, I'll not be so optimistic, especially if he buys any SPL defenders  :manic

Now claiming to have been offered a long term contract - nothing official from the club or course, but we should be getting used to that.

The end is nigh.

You're turning into a right pessimist

I bet you have us losing today 2-1 in the predictions don't you

I don't understand why you're bing like this, isn't not like we've not been in this situation many times before & come out of it in the end

As long as we have teams like, Smoggies, Mackems, WBA, Spurts, Blackburn etc below us, we'll survive :smilielol

I think you're wrong - we've so far played 6 games against the teams you mention and only won 2 of them. We've also been beaten by Hull at home, and could only draw with Stoke and West Ham.

Other teams at least look like they have some fight - we're a shambles.
