Helen,

Are you the Helen that is connected with CYDRA - Helen of Sirius Sanctury or something like that?

I wish you luck in rehoming them, if not let me have individual photos of them as I am going to do a slide show at the Duck Pond of dogs needing rehomed and bringing as much attention as possible.

If you are that Helen I hope we meet soon.

Hi Trish

Yes i am connected to CYDRA and sending dogs to new homes in Germany and advertising dogs from the Sirius Sanctuary and doing a cleaning stint down there too. I once dreamed of retirement!

I hear you are doing a good job for us at present and getting a lot of interest going. You have outlined on here how rewarding fostering can be and i wish we could find more foster homed to take dogs for a short time

Limassol operates very differently to Paphos in that we have only one Sanctuary that takes dogs(110 at present) and we have dog pounds were the 'warden' round up the stray dogs and they have a limited time. Unfortunately we find a lot of nice family dogs in these as locals know where they are and leave their unwanted house dogs there so we work closely with Sirius to try and help these too. Many do end up going to lovely homes in germany

I do have individual photos of the pups if you want them

Helen

Helen,

Good to know someone else, even if just virtually. Might be worth posting them individually as you never know. Also I will pm you with my e-mail address because if you want we are going to start putting dogs looking for homes on our computer at the Duck Pond and you never know what interest there might be and some lucky dog/puppy just might find a home here in Cyprus.

My gorgeous little foster dog went today, and oh lovely as it was helping out and fostering her, it was a wrench letting her go, BUT, im glad I did it and will do again. Why is it so hard saying goodbye though, I really ought to learn not to get so attached!.

Tallulah,

It is because you care and are that type of person that it hurts. I know with Minnie Moo that it will hurt me when she goes, but I also know that I cannot keep her and you only had Georgie for a week, think how it will be with me as she doesn't go until 21st November and I have already had her a few weeks.

Anyway well done for doing you first fostering and may you have many more. :D :D
