I'm still trying to figure out if someone from Edinburgh is called an " Edin Burger "

eg. if you come from Hamburg, you are known as a " McDonald "

Surely, Shirley or other will have an answer.

Evening all. Well I put a joint of pork on, just for the two of us and then started chatting to our next door neighbours and they joined us for dinner.

We had roast pork, roast potatoes, mashed swede (plenty of butter and black pepper and broccolli) and gravy. It was bl**dy yummy, even though I say it myself. O/h has washed up and now we are ready for a snuggle up in front of t.v.

Thought I would come on here and see what is happening.

Good evening all

I was roped into making pancakes with the Brownies, great fun then came home and made more pancakes. Taught my 8 year old daughter how to toss them

First 2 very successful, 3rd ended up on the floor

Great evening

Jean, Not too late for pancakes as I reckon that seeing as Easter is so much later here surely Shrove Tuesday must be March 11th.
I'm sure someone will tell me if I am wrong.

Pancake race tossed aside

ITN - Six hundred years of tradition have been been tossed aside as organisers cancelled a pancake race in Yorkshire over health and safety fears.

PC World again would you say :?: :?: :?:

How did this thread get on to pancakes ?
There is someone out there who agrees with me this is on a ‘Roots ‘ website

It brought to mind when Glasgow was running a very successful publicity campaign “ Glasgow’s :) miles better “ that a lot of people were unaware of the cleverly understated “ Edinburgh’s Slightly Superior “ which I liked

I think properly it should be "Edinburgensian", so not surprisingly it doesn't get used much! Generally,

Alastair
