 Post subject: Mackem V Toon Reserves!

Wasn't about this time last year that Gary was going on because the Mackem reserves beat the TOON reserves :? Well guess what, this season it's roles reversed: http://www.journallive.co.uk/newcastle-sports/football-news/2009/01/22/sunderland-reserves-1-newcastle-reserves-2-61634-22749939/

Is this an omen for the upcoming game on Feb 1st :wink:

Did you see our line up?? Oldest player out there was 19 - with our injuries our reserves are basically our first team now and the academy boys make up the reserve side.

Seems we have a lot of promising youngsters - they've got us top of the reserve and U18 leagues at the moment - could come in useful for our promotion push next season.....

Maybe we should be using them to stop us going down this season instead of the 1st players... couldn't do any worse thats for sure :roll:
