A SEARCH for ‘birth twins’ is being made across the island by Belgian television.
The idea is to find people around the world who were born on the exact same day and to film them in their native country for a period of five days for a documentary to be broadcast in Belgium about parallel lives around the globe.
The concept behind the programme is: ‘What would our lives have been like, had we been born in a different part of the world?’
According to the Belgians, by featuring the lives of different people who were born on the same day in different parts of the world, a comparison can be made between what each person’s life could have been like had they been born in the place where their ‘birth twin’ was born.
“We think Cyprus has a fascinating scenery and culture and that a twin from the island would give our documentary an extra, enriching dimension,” a news release stated.
The documentary-makers are searching for men whose birthdays fall on: April 19, 1933, July 18 and 19, 1948, August 20, 1949, February 11, 1952, May 5, 1956, August 27, 1958, January 18, 1959, December 30, 1960, July 24, 1962, January 14 and 17, 1965, October 5, 1968, February 5, 1969, April 6, 1969 and May 3, 1981.
As for women, the dates required are: April 5, 1943, May 2, 1950, July 20, 1963, March 24, 1964, February 10, 1965, March 26, 1975, November 4, 1977, December 27, 1979 and July 24, 1982
