Hi All,

Apologies to those who are members of both forums and may end up reading this twice.... Asking this on behalf of a friend who will be moving out to Paphos shortly.

He's interested in buying a jet ski second hand and is looking for some infomation. I'd rather not get into the accidents / danger / ignorance debate but I am looking for some hard facts for him if possible.

1. Does anyone know of a supplier / shop in Paphos (Please PM or email so no advertising) if not is there one in Limmasol ?
2. Is there anyone out there in the know who can give any idea on new and second hand prices, obviously they'll all different but some ball park figures may help him.

I understand he's thinking of something like 800 cc two seater... couple of years old.

Thanks in advance

Ian

Good morning Ian. There are outlets in both towns. I bought a new jetski last year from Redline in Paphos. Owner is Demetris...really nice guy. The brand he sells is SeeDoo (which I can heartily recommend). If he didn't have any s/h in stock, he would certainly know where to lay his hands on one or two. Demetris is a sub-agent for the main SeeDoo agent in Limassol. He name is Lakis and his company is called Force 8. Again, really nice, friendly and knowledgeable guy. There is also a Yamaha dealer in Paphos, but when making a choice I decided to go for Demetris.

You rarely see jetskis for sale s/h in Cyprus, but either of these guys would be a great starting point. Demetris is 99 655268 and Lakis is 25 579919. Hope this helps. Lloyd

Ian, forgot to say. I don't have the Yamaha dealer's details, but could look them up for you if you wanted. He's about 400m around the corner from Demetris.

To find Demetris: From the main intersection by the Police HQ, head down into Paphos. Keep going for at least one km. As you approach the large supermarket and bowling alley on the left, watch out on the RHS for Demetris. He always has boats outside on the pavement, plus a showroom full, so you won't miss him. Company name is Redline. Might be an idea to ring him beforehand, to make sure he's going to be around. Lloyd

Just a thought Ian, he will have to register any jetski purchase with the authorities, but the dealers can help him do that. Also get a high speed drivers licence (as I think they call it) for the jetski. I got my training and licence via. the Crystalmarine people in Latchi I recommended on another thread. Lloyd
