Do any of you ladies fancy meeting up for a coffee next week? If so, does anyone know whether the Ladies Coffee Shop is open? Otherwise we could meet at somewhere like Sense at Coral Bay or maybe Kiniras in the Old Town?

I was thinking of next Wednesday. Anyone interested? I should be stir crazy enough to fancy an outing by then.

I thought after lunch might be good - give me time to get my act together (still not dressed as I type). Maybe around 2 p.m.?

I may have mastered the art of baking a gluten-free cake by then, too, so that I don't get left out if any of you fancy a nibble. Chez - got any easy GF recipes?

If members or guests ever feel like meeting up on an informal, ad hoc basis, it ain't rocket science to arrange. We can just pose the question, and if there is enough interest we can do it. If not - there is always another time. No-one will be availble all the time, but it is nice to have a mini-social if those who are in the UK are visiting. And on this occasion it is purely selfishness that made me ask the question. I want an outing.

Great idea Verity but wont be able to meet that day.... its the day I arrive . Free for a whole month after that thou, not often a woman can say that .

So a meet for coffee anytime, maybe the following week? good to put names to faces.

Wont have a computer for two weeks but there is always the internet cafes, I will log on every now and then to keep in touch.

So how about we go for Wednesday at 2 p.m. (I will find out about the coffee shop and confirm that we can meet there). I will post it on here as soon as I have had a chance to get the info.

We could do it again on Wednesday 27th so that Jean and Jan can come. Or we could leave it and let someone else decide a date and time - Lolly will be here soon, and Sam. Don't wait for me girls. I can make the 27th, but don't know about coffee afternoons after that as I hope I will be back at work. If they fall on a day I am not working I will come.

I will get back on the case of the Taverna Club next week too. Just sinking back into things gradually this week otherwise Phil will be moaning that I am not taking things easy. I want the UK members to have a chance to put faces to names too if they want. Plus you can pick up info and contacts at informal gatherings which are always useful.

Ladies only coffee shop is OPEN from 9 in the mornings untill 8.30 evenings Bob

That's a date then. Next Wednesday 13th February at 2 p.m. at the Ladies Coffee Shop.

Coming from Begonia lights towards the harbour, take a left turn at the CORNER KIOSK. I usually park on the car park on the left with the boat on it and walk back towards the coffee shop.

If anyone has proper directions it would help. Otherwise pm me and I will wait on the car park for anyone who can't find it.

It would be good to have another coffee meet on the 27th before Verity returns to work and maybe if Jean is up for it, we could have a celebratory coffee or lunch for Jean after she finishes work on the 29th? what do others think?

Hi Verity,
Pleased to see you are out of hospital. If we were in Paphos when you have your coffee morning I would love to come and meet up with you and Candy again. When we were over in November and met in coral bay it was raining very fast but we enjoyed the evening very much. We also met up with Tricia and Steve and enjoyed a night out in Bar Street,I am looking foreward to coming out and meeting more of the forum members at one of the social gatherings that you have. Val, good to see you on the site. If we don't do the coffee thing there is always the taverna club. People can always put up a post to say they are over and ask if any other members are up for meeting for a coffee or Keo or whatever takes their fancy. Sometimes people will be free, other times they may not be, but it doesn't hurt to ask the question.

Amanda - call me cynical, but when a doctor has a crystal ball or a direct line to God, then he can tell you when your baby will come. He will come when he is ready, and if that is during coffee, so be it. These doctors crack me up. If your son arrives late your doctor will keep quiet, if he comes early he will feel full of his own importance at being right. A bit like the church and the prayers for rain.

I will give you some tips for trying to get into labour when I see you on Wednesday. Some involve enlisting the help of that man of yours, but some are less strenuous and more tasty.
