After booking Last Castle 3 weeks ago for today -- the booking was for 43 people at 1.45 arriving at 1.30 so all could be seated by 1.45. This didn't go to plan --had to stand for --wait for it --1 HOUR before tables were ready THEN 1 HOUR later the food was eventually served I am totally disgusted at this poor treatment from a place that in the past has always been very good (food was still good ) I think they are being a bit greedy trying to get as many bums on seats as they can --- well mine wont be sitting on one of their seats for a while. It really spoilt the day as it was a wedding party and most guests hadn't been to the LC before. Gripe over. Marj

I agree Marj - that is terrible, made even worse by it being a wedding party and so many people.

One of the problems being as well, that you just couldn't all walk. What did they have to say for themselves.

Molly/Neil their ears were ringing with complaints they did give a sort of discount --total bill for meal was €20 a head but the bar bill for the hour was a big one as well, but that didn't get away from the fact it nearly ruined an otherwise lovely day -- finished off with Ice Cream and swim at Agios Georgios. Marj

Marj - €20 head for food ! isn't that dearer than normal

Sorry to hear of the disappointment. Must say that Viklara is our all time favourite eating place and we will continue to take our friends and relatives there. Always receive a friendly welcome and the food is always superb as well as excellent value. I suspect that there was some communication problem with your booking..

I intend to live forever -- so far so good.

No problem with the booking --- booked in person 3 weeks before even put it in writing --then the Sunday before -- THEN the day before to make sure she had the right number -- she suggested the time be put back to 1.45 as we had booked for 1.o'clock. I just cant get over the fact that they could be so greedy and let the table be used -- the people who were seated there had finished but didn't want to move. Totally spoilt the wedding party. It will be a long time till my temper dies down and I visit again, even though the food is good. Marj

I must say that when we visited last year the food, service and ambience was all top notch, At Viklari, the ambience and atmosphere are whatmakes 50% of the occassion, so to mar that at the outset would have taken the gloss from the day. Also many of those attending may have been Viklari Virgins going in eager anticipation, only to be left with a sour taste in the mouth.
Shame.
