Another welcome from me Julie and Geoff.

There is a wealth of experience on here so just fire away at any questions you might have. We are a real friendly bunch, honest.

Web sites like this were not around when we moved over (or at least I hadn't found any). So just sit back and type any questions you might have, although better doing one at a time then you can get the benefits of many members experiences.

Hi Julie,

If you're trying to spell something that is in our 'word censor' it will come out as a different word, so don't worry, you're not going insane, its just our 'word censor' that picks up all swear words, so something like:

A.r.s.e.n.a.l will be arsenal
P.i.s.s.o.u.r.i will be pissouri

Hope this explains the confussion somewhat :D :D

I suppose the school thing for the kids will
be an important issue.

A million and one questions....someone will tell you the answer, or point you in the right direction :D

Hi Julie and Geoff,
Let me also say welcome on behalf of myself and my partner Steph.
I guess you are the Julie that attracted all the negativity on the other site.
You shouldn't get that sort of negativity here.
I would just say one thing to you....

Trust your instinct and and go with it. Remember. If you don't try it you will never know whether you like it or not.

Once again. Welcome.

Regards
Brian

Hi Julie and Geoff,

Welcome to PP. I can relate to your confusion of not knowing where to start when you think about moving over here. I found the forums held a vast amount of information. And just as importantly, they were a source of support.

If you have any questions please just ask away. It is best to ask one or two at a time, rather than a whole heap, as it is easier for people to answer them that way.

When we were making the move I bought a filing cabinet and got all my paperwork in order. I threw out stuff that I had kept for thirty years. Now, if I need to find a bill or a letter I have only a filing cabinet to look through, whereas for all the 30 years before I bought this piece of equipment I had just stuffed things in drawers, chests and cupboards and never knew where anything was.

Moving was a marvellous experience for me. It cleaned out my attic and cleared out my mind. I culled "friends" who were takers, and I put myself and Phil first for the first time in our lives.

Enjoy your journey to this new phase in your lives.

Verity. 8)

Hi Julie and Geoff

A welcome to Paphos People from me as well.

I'll second what Verity has said about the postings, one topic/question at a time. Much easier like that, you can always keep it for reference as well.

We have been here just over two years now and have made lots of friends, as no doubt you will.

Molly

Hi and welcome,

We will have been here a year next month

Time has gone quick, and as the saying goes.. it has been the best and worst of times !!

We have 4 children, and originally did the greek school option, but have now just put three of them in the International.

Good Luck

Good luck with your move ... saw your posts on another forum, and personally think you are better to give it a go than spend your life wishing you had
