Congratulations to APOEL.

Nicosia made history when it beat FC Copenhagen, 3-1, and won its UEFA Champions League playoff series, 3-2, becoming the first Cypriot team to qualify for the competition's group stage.

Really good effort - hope they do well.

I hope they get a decent draw!

Whilst it was an excellent achievement for APOEL (watched the first 60 mins on Wednesday in the G&D with Tanny, Gotannatog and BD), I had thought Anorthosis qualified last year:

Then the Famagusta Gazzette needs to get it facts right!!

Perhaps the journo wasn't an Anorthosis fan, but I remember watching them, because they came very close to qualifying from their group.

Which would have been a very good achievement.
