Has anyone used Simon Emery Deals on Wheels?

I'm coming out in March with the intention of looking at cars. (amongst other things).
I have tried to contact this guy through his website but have had no reply.
I would like to hear others experiences either in open forum or PM.

I would also like to know what the main agents are like to deal with on new car sales.
Are they like the UK agents who will give good discounts on new cars to gain showroom space when a newer model comes out?

Am I likely to get a better deal locally or should I go to Nicosia?

Finally does anyone have any experience with companies that will import models that are not generally available in Cyprus?

All info greatfully received.

I know this should probably go in the motoring section and I am quite happy for it to be moved there but I thought it might reach a wider audience here first.

Deals on wheels is excellent - always there for any questions and support you might have or need - I would strongly suggest you call his telephone as he is not sat in front of the computer a lot when he is working.

Got to say I found Shikkas extremely helpful and good on prices when we were looking for a specific type of car. They actually telephoned us to say the shipment was due in the showrooms the next day so we had a good choice of cars to choose from.

we bought our rav from them about 21 months ago, and are very happy with the after-sales service

about a month ago we had a head gasket problem, which led to us needing some major work, and i phoned up deals on wheels, knowing full well that there was no warranty cover on the car purchased that long ago, but Ian was able to give me the name of a mechanic that they use in Peyia, who had the problem solved in days not weeks! a couple of days later we had a minor unconnected niggle, which barry (the mechanic) was able check out on the carpark next to deals on wheels, in between a couple of jobs he was doing for simon.

the important thing is that you are happy with the service you get; i could tell you stories of cheaper cars, which have proved to be nightmares, and of garages which have "changed hands" when a problem occurs.

simon and ian have proved to me that they really are honest blokes, and actually have a decent rapport with their customers... i can't praise them enough!

You have a sharp eye Frank, yes Simon has joined the forum, so he can respond to this question, not sure if he'll do it on the open forum or by pm direct but I'm sure he'll be around when he has enough time to post

Have not bought from Simon myself, but have only ever heard good things about him. Lloyd

He gave us some useful information, even though we didn't end up buying from him. Seems like a nice guy. He knew we were looking at another car, yet he still gave us the information and it helped us to get the price down on the car we eventually bought.

Would definitely go back to him in the future and would buy off him if the car was right.

If you have not done already i would say yes get in touch with Simon, we bought our car from him with no hic ups what so ever, Fantastic service and advice, and he has been true to his word.

We only just put our car in for a due service with Simon, he gave us a car to run around in while ours was in the garage too

Very worth having a chat with him Brian, good luck in finding what you are looking for.
