Whenever we visit Cyprus or any other foreign country it costs me a small fortune on Mozzy repellent.
I go through cans of it and I need it cos they bloody love me.
If I move to Cyprus to live will this continue to cost me a fortune ?

It's okay Twosox. You can mention Avon Skin So Soft.

I used it extensively the first year I was here, and I used it a little last year as they didn't seem to affect me so much. We also used an ARS machine in the bedroom each night when Phil started getting bitten and that seemed to do the trick.

I have heard others say that the first year is the worst, then they get used to you and go for new blood. Don't know whether that is an old wive's tale, but it was the case for me.

Before anyone says there are no mosquitos, I take it as a common term for all the bitey insects that munch at people in Cyprus.

I'll have to find something won't I ?
Imagine how many cans I would have to buy. They're not cheap either.
I was hoping someone might have posted saying something like..... if you go to Doctor so and so you can get this cream/tablet and it's dead cheap.
Thanks for the advice up to now.
Gary

Don't people recommend taking Vitamin B12? Or is it B6? Some knowledgeable person is bound to come along and enlighten you.

If you buy the SSS in the UK you can often get it on special offer. I think it was around £2 per bottle when I bought it in bulk.

You will smell like a girly though, and you shine like a chip. :D

No, no, no, guys! If you wish to kill mozzies around the home there's only one surefire way to do it...and that's with one of these little beauties. These mossie killers work perfectly. We have two in our house, one downstairs in the kitchen and the other on the landing. Our daughter and son-in-law have two in their house too, and swear by them. Throughout the spring, summer and autumn we hear the continual tsit, tsit, as yet another mossie is despatched to meet his maker.

No mate, you need one of these, as it portable so you can take it where ever you like & it works great.

Yes, Pete, but think of all the bloodsplats you leave behind on the walls

At least with ours you can create a BBQ mossie sandwich if ever the fridge runs out of food.
