A very strange thing just happened ? my dog tobey who is a red fox lab,he just started barking and looking at the wall for no reason. He hardly barks at all, I told him to shut it but he carried on barking. And now he just sitting there waggling his tail looking at the wall. Very strange dog, i think i better take him to the vets.

Has your dog done anything as stupid as this, I always said he been hanging around the wife to much.

my cat does the same thing, i think she is watching a fly/gnat or something but then i think, that is so spooky she just keeps staring at the same spot for ages, no idea why (well i have an idea but not thinking about that too much! want to be able to sleep at night!)

Be interested to see what others think.

Now a really strange thing just happend. My wife heard me and came to see what i was at. I showed her Pete comments and she also Very strange as she never only at night when i get undressed she

ha ha, very true! ok so she doesn't bark at the wall, just stares and will not move even for the most precious biscuits - weird.
I will look out for the barking to start though (ok so now i think i am barking ((mad)).

Well it is weird on nights in a prison as there is only 6 staff and your are all over prison.You can hear doors closing etc except you only have keys

tiny earth tremors perhaps? I've heard that animals act odd before an earthquake as they are far more sensitive than we are.
Our cat was the same recently, crying at odd spots in the house endlessly - then i got him wormed and that seemed to do the trick!

I remember a tv prog some years ago about dogs sitting and gazing at the garden fence for hours on end, for no apparent reason, they never really came up with a sensible reason why, but animals can hear things we can't so maybe that's the answer?
