Will the Olympics be the same without the Russian?

With only 2 days till the opening ceremony The Court of Arbitration for Sport has been at a temporary base at the Rio Olympics and are still handling 11 appeals - predominantly from Russian athletes banned for doping


The International Weightlifting Federation excluded all eight Russians entered for Rio last week.
Two of the eight-strong weightlifting team had already been banned for prior doping violations, and another four were named in Dr Richard McLaren's report into the issue.

Yes, unfortunately the Olympics will be the same without Russia. A drug-fuelled, nationalistic and political occasion established to fill the pockets of a few businessmen at the expense of the local population.

I'll be giving it a miss.

Having been bored to tears with football, cricket, rugby, tennis etc etc etc we now have the olympics as the source of choice for tv viewing.
Too much money, corruption and greed has ruined sport in every class.
