Have clients due who booked on jet2 for 1st July at the cheapest prices. they have now been cancelled and may be hoping to be rebooked on the first 'real' flight which will undoubtably be more expensive. Is it a gamble worth taking or will bookings made in the cover period be transferrable as previous bookings?

Quote from jet2....."Jet2 said that customers who were due to travel before July 15th do not need to contact them as they are "proactively" contacting them to discuss options.

The spokesperson added: "One of which is rebooking their holiday to a later date."

Our neighbours are coming LHR to LCA with Lufthansa via Frankfurt at the end of this month. £200 return each including 23 kilo suitcase allowance.

I had flights and car hire booked since last May (2019) for May 2020 with Jet2.

I have to say I was very impressed with their response to the pandemic.

I received an email in early April saying that my car hire cost would be refunded in full with 14 days of the email.
in fact it was in my account within around five days.

I then received a further email saying that I would be contacted regarding the flights and they were doing that in order of departure dates and asked me not to contact them. Approximately a week before the flight was due to leave I received a further email saying that I would be refunded in full, or could have the flight rescheduled, if I did not contact them with future dates the refund would be automatic. again, within 4/5 days I had been refunded.

I believe so. They live here and have yellow slips, so they are on the list of people allowed in.
