At least this might knock Newcastle out of the headlines for 5 minutes!

He can leave with his head held high.

Took over the team when almost certain relegation was on the cards. Those last 9-10 games beating everybody in sight including the Gunners at the Emirates, Manu U at O.T etc. was pretty phenomenal. Putting up with the bitter gripers going on about the Tevez saga withoutout having any idea what they were talking about.

Took the team to 10th place in the Prem last year despite a shocking ongoing injury list.

Best start to a Prem season for many years (well, after 3 games anyway), with still almost half a team missing.

Well done Curbs, I'm sure we'll see you back in football soon.

Seem AC actually lost more games than he's won in the last 2 season, so not that good & the fans were booing him & your team last week, don't see many of them clamming at the gates to keep him at the club either

There will always be an element of disgruntled supporters of course. He had his knockers like most gaffers. Style of play etc.

As for the lack of Hammers clamming at the gates, you'll probably find thats because they are all working..

Now Now Willis we are not all unemployed in the North East. I've read that McArtney did not ask to leave the club and will issue a statement about his move soon.
Sources in Sunderland say they only paid £2.5m for him and it is being suggested that West Ham contacted Sunderland to re open discussion on the transfer.

Of course they are - there's the whole jellied eel industry to support for one thing, plus of course the manufacture and sale of all those "cor blimey trousers"

:D
